She is wrapping the towel on my arm to stop the bleeding it seems like she had experience with those kinds of things but I didn’t have time to wonder. "I didn’t get to fix you yet" I hear Martha now. "We were so close, come here." I feel her machine on me.
"NO DON’T TOUCH ME!" I scream but I’m not talking to her. Still she backs away from me leaving me to my seizure breathing hard, the pain started my brain was screaming and so was I; incomprehensible things about hell and death. Finally like always after what seemed like eternity but probably only lasted 3 minutes I am out… I never knew what happened to me after the seizures… did I faint? Was I awake? Was Spencer? When I’ll return to the real world I’ll have no recollection of it any way…
Present:
"It’s o.k. it’s over now shhh shhh it’s o.k. I’m here I’m right here…" Ashley? I try to look up but it’s too dark after awhile my eyes get used to it and I can make her out above me, rocking me slowly in her arms. I try to talk but my throat hurts she notice and put her finger on my lips indicating me to be quiet.
"We didn’t have one of these in a while." She smiles at me surely seeing the question in my eyes. She doesn’t answer my unasked question, I know the answer though I had a seizure I probably woke everyone with my screams. I look around and I see blood on my pillow and for the first time it’s scares me. I don’t want her to see me like this! I don’t want her to hurt! I whimper as I try to back away from her embrace.
"No, no Angel it’s o.k. it’s all right calm down!" she try to hold me still but I leap out of the bed and make a run for it only to be grabbed by that old man Rob who is coming through the door with bandages. He holds my arms in each of his own and pushes me back on the bed.
"NO let me go!! I’ll never be her! I’m not good enough" I scream I’m in another time and place.
