DAWN: The unauthorized new finale to the Twilight series
CHAPTER 4:
TOO MUCH TO HANDLE
“Me and Edward are getting married.”
"Honey, that's great!" Renee's voice rang through the receiver, "When?"
"August 13th." I replied.
"Oh, I'm so happy! Where? Tell me everything!"
"We're sending invitations. I don't really remember some of the details myself. Alice, Edward's sister, is taking care of a lot of it."
I finally told Renee. She had taken it much better than Charlie, as I knew she would. A few days had past since my rage. I had awakened the next morning to find Alice gone. On my night stand I found the wolf, with a note that read:
Bella,
You know you didn't want to get rid of this. You'll thank me, I've seen it. -Alice
I did thank her, to her delight. The wolf was reattached to my bracelet. I decided to let my hate go. There was a reason for everything, afterall. I had a wedding to plan. Edward had returned from his "camping trip" and spoken with Charlie, who tried not to shoot my fiancé. I had to quit my job at the hardware store to make more time. Mike had called a lot to beg me to come back, but I continued to tell him I didn't have the time. Plus, it wasn't like I would need the money for long. I had gotten an RSVP from Angela and Jessica, as well as Eric and Tyler. Mike was debating on coming. I knew it was because it was Edward marrying me and not him.
I was alone. Emmett and Jasper had taken Edward out for a night of vampire fun, a sort of "Bachelor Party." I played my lullaby as I removed the pink nail polish that was beginning to chip. Alice never did realize her beautiful work would wear away, especially on my hands. While I was at it, I clipped the nails. I felt it poke into my thumb as I missed and clipped the skin. I ran to the bathroom, trying to wash away the blood before I could smell it. I wondered how funny it would be, when soon I thirsted for blood, rather than shunned it.
When I reentered my bedroom, I heard a strange tapping at my window. "Sorry, Edward," I whispered in that direction, "I must have locked it." When I opened it, however, four hands grabbed me, and pulled me threw the frame. Their hands were hot as they muffled my scream. I knew exactly who they were.
