DAWN: The unauthorized new finale to the Twilight series
Quil and Embry stood in front of me. "What are you two doing here?…Do you know anything about-"
"This isn't Jacob news," Said Quil, "We've come here to talk to you, about…"
"…oh" I realized.
"Yeah." Said Embry.
"Guys, listen," I said, "I'm marrying Edward, and I'm going to change."
"Then you will be our enemy." Said Quil.
"I know…but it doesn't mean we have to hate each other…we just can't be friends."
"It's not that simple, Bella," Said Embry, anger in the undertone of his voice.
"I know." My voice was bleak.
We stood in silence. Why was it that everyone was so awkward? Nothing was feeling the same. "Bella, what we are here for is to give you a warning," Said Quil, "You'd better pray to God there is never a fight. If there is, killing you is our main goal."
"Did Sam send you?" I asked, beginning to feel hatred, "Why couldn't he just show his face?!"
"Calm down." Said Quil
"Where is Jacob?!" I demanded, taking advantage of wanting to change the subject.
"We don't know," Said Embry, "He's becoming very talented at his hiding thoughts. He's north somewhere, that's all we've been able to make out."
"But that doesn't matter, Bella," Said Quil, "We just came to warn you. We hope you are happy with your choice. Now, we must go."
They were gone. Rain began to fall over me as I stood there, not knowing what to do. I knew in my heart what I was doing, but it still felt wrong. Why were my friends so cordial? Even my mortal friends were growing away from me. It was too much to handle. I decided then and there to let it happen. Let them grow away. It would hurt worse when I made attempts to pull them closer, only from them to go anyway. That had happened too much recently. Tears began to run over my face when I realized no one would be there. Not even m own parents…after a while…
Suddenly I felt a shiver, and I turned to see Edward behind me. "Edward!" I said, trying to hide my sadness. He smiled and held me close as the rain continued to fall. Thankfully Edward thought my tears were just raindrops as he said, “They've been here. I can smell them on you."
"Yeah," I said, "Quil and Embry…A warning, if you will."
He helped me in out of the rain.
After I had showered off the dog smell I turned the light out and snuggled up next to Edward. He held me close, something we had not been able to do much of recently with the wedding coming on. "I don't care if they'll hate me," I said, "I'll be with you." He didn't say anything, but the kiss he gave me was better than if he had recited the most romantic sonnet in the world.
Edward's cell phone rang. "Hello?" He said, "…What?…where, Carlisle?…Okay…NO! Not before…fine then, we'll do it now!…But…Alright…" He hung up, "Get dressed," He said, "We're getting married. Tonight."
