    Spencer’s secret is revealed.

    Ashley woke up to Spencer gently shaking her shoulder. She cracked an eye open and tried to ignore the pain in her head. Her mouth and throat were dry and she smiled at Spencer. The other girl’s blonde hair fell messily across her face and her shirt was hanging crookedly off of her petite frame. Ashley smiled and rolled over. The entire world started spinning and she shut her eyes quickly.

               

     

     

     

     

    “Do you want me to go get you some water? The only thing worse than goldschlager is the morning, trust me I know,” Spencer said sympathetically. Ashley nodded and squeezed her hand. A few minutes later Spencer returned with a tall glass of water and a bottle of aspirin.

               

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    “What would I do without you?” Ashley asked smiling up at her reaching out for the water.

               

     

     

     

     

     

    “Die,” Spencer said leaning down and kissing her lightly on the lips. Ashley downed the water quickly, leaning back against the pillows. She closed her drooping eyelids for a moment and when she opened them again, Spencer was gone. Frowning, Ashley hauled herself out of bed and slipped on a pair of Spencer’s sweats. She shuffled out into the hallway, trying to rub the sleep from her eyes. Spencer was in the kitchen, with her head stuck in the fridge.

               

     

     

     

    “Wow, that is a great view,” Ashley teased staring at her butt. Spencer jerked up, hitting her head against the second shelf and nearly dropping the eggs she was holding. 

               

     

     

     

     

     

     

    “Hey! I didn’t think you’d want to get out of bed, I was going to bring you breakfast,” Spencer said with a gentle smile. Ashley smiled back and walked over wrapping her arms around Spencer. She let her bottom lip brush against Spencer’s gently and put both hands on Spencer’s face drawing her nearer. It was amazing how two years could change things. Spencer kissed her as if she was a treasure, each second savored and not taken for granted. Spencer reached for the butter while they were still kissing and Ashley smiled. Spencer pulled away and set the ingredients on the table.

    11. Wow. did not really see that coming. But, when she kept rejecting the drinks I thought it was either that or she was pregnant.Um…I really like this plot decision. Could very easily have happened while Ash was in a coma. Spence dealt with it by drinking and it got beyond out of control.Hmmm…I seriously dig what you’re doing here…for many personal reasons and I like that I haven’t read any fics where this was an issue with Spencer.I am now very much one of your fans :)

No shame in being an alcoholic and getting help for it, so I wonder why she didn’t tell her earlier. But I do like that you’ve incorporated this into your story for my own personal reasons as well.
