    Young hearts be free tonight.

    “Them?” Spencer chuckled. “You make these attractive mature women sound like aliens.” She slid her hands down Ashley’s back. “Do you see my mom as an alien?”

    “Not just your mom.” Ashley nibbled along her lover’s ear feeling Spencer’s hands slip in her back jean pockets. “You too.”

    Spencer looked at her. “Me too?”

    Ashley nodded. “You’re foreign to me.” She pressed her forehead against Spencer’s, feeling their soft breaths mingle as they gazed into one another’s eyes, Ashley fought hard to keep from kissing blissful lips. “So foreign yet familiar- I feel like I’ve known you for centuries when we’ve just met. And believe me it has nothing to do with drugs. I’m just so in love with you. Is that crazy?”

    “Not at all.” Spencer whispered. “I feel the same way.” She pressed her lips softly against Ashley’s. “And it has something to do with drugs.” She murmured kissing her again. “ Because you’re my drug.” She urged Ashley’s against the counter as their lips met again, tender yet demanding, Spencer pressed harder against the rock star. “And I never want to let you go.”

    Ashley watched her hands move along the strings of her acoustic guitar. The fresh smell of pancakes surrounded her as she sat in the kitchen. Sitting on a stool in the corner of the large room, Ashley looked up at Spencer. She sat on the kitchen table eating a couple of pancakes while doing a crossword puzzle in the newspaper. Everything seemed very surreal at the moment. The famous rock star couldn’t believe she was sitting in her girlfriend’s mother’s kitchen with a full belly and sober mind. She stared back at her guitar while her foot unconsciously tapped along to the music. She was with Samantha this time last year. Doing drugs, having sex, and always partying- complete opposite of what she was doing now. Did she miss it? She couldn’t help but wonder while stopping to tighten a string. After finishing breakfast, Spencer had grabbed her hand and led them to the table where they ate. Well, where she ate while listening to her girlfriend talk. Spencer mostly spoke of childhood memories, most of them Ashley couldn’t relate too, but still managed to give feedback with a smile or chuckle. And then she finished eating and felt strangely out of place. It was then she decided to get her guitar out and play something. The guitar was the only thing she had kept from her past life. Past life, Ashley thought strangely. Were things really that different now?

    2. Wow! How I have truly missed this. Such an amazing update. I can’t say enough. Love this part of their journey together. I’m glad that Ashley is getting to see that she can be a great person without the drugs. Can’t wait for more. Great writing. Very inspiring.

    5. ashley’s getting along with spencer’s family even if paula and arthur get suspicious every once in a while. i’m glad spence had ashley talk to denny maybe he won’t do any more pot and the scene where he’d said i really think she’d let you do her was hilarous my favorite scene. ash really needs to call brenda and talk to kyla not just text pms

    6. i was late to school cause i started reading at 6:00 am and stilll havnt touched my homework. but luckly getting home to read this motivated me to finish my 5 mile run for track faster

    11. This is such a sweet chapter, thanks for making so long. lol, i love the long chapters. I’m really glad Ashley is deciding to change. These two are so amazing. There’s just a ton of things I’m liking about the story. I love how Paula and Arthur actually like Ashley in this fic. Go figure. Anyway I can’t wait for the next update, i’ll be patient but it won’t be easy. XD

    12. First the smoke blowing: You are an amazing author! I wish you could just knock these posts out every week but I know good things take time and so alas I must wait, thank you though for sharing your talent.Ok, soo interesting, I get the impression that Paula is either A)passive aggressive or B) just really cool with the fact that Ashley and Spencer are seemingly together… Arthur on the other hand seems a little less like he’d be into their relationship…Time will tell I suppose.I love Denny! He’s like a male Ashley…a little more immature but I like him!Also, interesting form of therapy for Ashley…meeting a well adjusted family seems to have helped put a few things into perspective for her. Maybe she needs to stay out of LA, environment is apparently everything…or maybe what Ashley needs to do is turn her actually family into a better one. Hopefully she reconnects with Kyla and her mother, they seem to hold a meaningful soft spot in her heart.PMS PMS PMS

    13. I cannot even tell you how much I loved this update. I took time to read it (3 or 4 days) because I knew it’s gonna take a while for the next update to be posted, so I wanted to savor reading it. I love what you created between Ashley and Spencer…it’s almost something magical. Everytime I read this story I forget everything around me, no lie. (The prologue still worries me, though). I hope Ashley will manage to stay away from the drugs..she’s much better of without them. It probably is gonna take a while, but I hope you’ll update soon-ish. I’m addicted to this story. :P I really am.

    14. I swear i can never get enough of this story… im waiting for something bad to happen though, things are a little too perfect for the girls… o and i cant wait for Spence and Denny to come out to each other
