Spencer heard voices the second she stepped off the last step. She followed them into the kitchen and leaned against the door frame. Her mother and Ashley stood near the stove; Ashley was doing something with a spatula while Paula stood talking to her. Spencer didn’t hesitate walking in and kissing her mother’s cheek. “Morning mother.” She turned her head and leaned forward, kissing Ashley’s, she said the same thing.
“Mother.” Spencer groaned watching Ashley dress an omelet. “Ashley’s our guest not chef.”
Paula met her gaze and chuckled. “I assure you my dear, Ashley enjoys being both. Tell her Ashley.”
The rock star met her girlfriend’s gaze. “I enjoy being both.” She repeated with a smile.
Spencer poked her playfully in the upper arm. “You have to stop doing that.”
“Doing what?” Ashley questioned lightly.
“Repeat what my evil relatives tell you to repeat.”
Paula reached out and grabbed one of the five plates Ashley had set up on the counter. “You know what’s really evil?” She asked her daughter.
Spencer looked at her. “What?”
"Hair straightners."
“Hair straighteners?”
“Hair straighteners.” Paula repeated nodding towards a blushing Ashley. “She’ll tell you all about their evils.” She reached out and grabbed another plate. “Thank you Ashley. You’re an amazing cook,” She winked at Spencer. “and guest. Arthur and I are going to enjoy this immensely.” She kissed Spencer’s forehead.
“What is she talking about?” Spencer asked after watching her mother leave.
Ashley’s hand immediately shot up to the pulse point of her neck. “She’s talking about the burn mark I got from the straightener.” She answered showing her girlfriend the hickey she gave her. Spencer chuckled shakily as she quickly caught on.
“Oh the burn mark…” She groaned burying her face in Ashley’s neck. The rock star wrapped her arms around her. “She knows you’re full of shit.”
Ashley sighed. “I would have covered it with make up but your mother saw it before I did. Are we fucked?”
The blonde pulled back and cupped her cheek. “We were fucked from the moment we stepped inside this house.” she chuckled. “But everything seems okay. My mother loves you and so does everyone else in this house. Especially Denny.”

Wow! How I have truly missed this. Such an amazing update. I can’t say enough. Love this part of their journey together. I’m glad that Ashley is getting to see that she can be a great person without the drugs. Can’t wait for more. Great writing. Very inspiring.

ashley’s getting along with spencer’s family even if paula and arthur get suspicious every once in a while. i’m glad spence had ashley talk to denny maybe he won’t do any more pot and the scene where he’d said i really think she’d let you do her was hilarous my favorite scene. ash really needs to call brenda and talk to kyla not just text pms
i was late to school cause i started reading at 6:00 am and stilll havnt touched my homework. but luckly getting home to read this motivated me to finish my 5 mile run for track faster

This is such a sweet chapter, thanks for making so long. lol, i love the long chapters. I’m really glad Ashley is deciding to change. These two are so amazing. There’s just a ton of things I’m liking about the story. I love how Paula and Arthur actually like Ashley in this fic. Go figure. Anyway I can’t wait for the next update, i’ll be patient but it won’t be easy. XD
First the smoke blowing: You are an amazing author! I wish you could just knock these posts out every week but I know good things take time and so alas I must wait, thank you though for sharing your talent.Ok, soo interesting, I get the impression that Paula is either A)passive aggressive or B) just really cool with the fact that Ashley and Spencer are seemingly together… Arthur on the other hand seems a little less like he’d be into their relationship…Time will tell I suppose.I love Denny! He’s like a male Ashley…a little more immature but I like him!Also, interesting form of therapy for Ashley…meeting a well adjusted family seems to have helped put a few things into perspective for her. Maybe she needs to stay out of LA, environment is apparently everything…or maybe what Ashley needs to do is turn her actually family into a better one. Hopefully she reconnects with Kyla and her mother, they seem to hold a meaningful soft spot in her heart.PMS PMS PMS
I cannot even tell you how much I loved this update. I took time to read it (3 or 4 days) because I knew it’s gonna take a while for the next update to be posted, so I wanted to savor reading it. I love what you created between Ashley and Spencer…it’s almost something magical. Everytime I read this story I forget everything around me, no lie. (The prologue still worries me, though). I hope Ashley will manage to stay away from the drugs..she’s much better of without them. It probably is gonna take a while, but I hope you’ll update soon-ish. I’m addicted to this story. :P I really am.
I swear i can never get enough of this story… im waiting for something bad to happen though, things are a little too perfect for the girls… o and i cant wait for Spence and Denny to come out to each other
