Ashley sat there crying for a long time.  She didn’t know how long exactly, but by the time she got back home the sun was just starting to come up.  She waited for it to finish its accent before getting out of her car and heading for the door.  After she walked in, started a pot of coffee, and then walked to the guest bathroom to shower.  She wasn’t ready to see if Spencer had come home from her parents or not.  She showered and then walked into her bedroom and straight into the closet.  She didn’t look at the bed, but she knew Spencer was there.  After she got dressed and ready for a tiring day at the office, she walked into the bedroom to find Spencer still asleep.  She wasn’t under the covers, and she was still in the cloths from dinner.  It was obvious she had been waiting for Ashley.  The brunette sighed as she looked at the clock noting that she didn’t need to be in the office for another 4 hours, but she needed to be away from Spencer for a bit.  She wasn’t ready to talk it out.  She wrote a note to the blonde, leaving it next to her on the bed.  She leaned down and gently kissed Spencer’s stomach.  The girl stirred a bit, but didn’t wake up.  Ashley stared down at the angel in front of her.  She imagined the blue eyes she loved so much looking back at her.  She started leaning forward to kiss her goodbye, but the conversation from last night popped back into her head, and she just leaned up and moved away.  Taking one last look before leaving the room and then the house.

Spencer awoke to the smell of coffee.  Her immediate reaction was jumping out of the bed and racing into the kitchen.  She looked around for Ashley, but as soon as she saw the empty coffee pot and the mug in the sink, she knew she was already gone.  Spencer looked at the clock and saw that it was only 6:30.  She frowned as she walked back up to the bedroom and noticed the note that was now on the floor.  She picked it up, and while sitting back on the bed she read.

Spence,

I’m sorry for taking off last night.  But I just need to think about stuff.  I love you.  And I’m sorry that I worried you last night.  Take today off, I don’t want you to get stressed out at work after being so upset all night.  Its not good for the baby.  So please take the day off and just relax.  I’ll stop by and bring you something for lunch.  I love you.  I’ll talk to you later.

Spencer sighed.  Ashley didn’t want to see her.  That’s the only reason she wouldn’t want her at work.  Spencer knew this was coming, but it didn’t make it hurt less.  She curled up on the bed, and closed her eyes, when she felt tears start to warm her eyes she reached over and grabbed Ashley’s pillow.  Hugging it tightly to her body she just held tight to the only comfort she had.  The smell of the pillow only made the tears come faster, but it was some sort of comfort and she needed that.
