    Lazy, lazy, lazy.

    “I get that,” she confirmed. “Do you think it’s a bad thing?”

    “I don’t think so. I guess it’s better we’re fighting because of that than because we don’t care about each other, you know?”

    “Yeah. Well, maybe we should just stop.”

    “Stop what?”

    “Fighting,” she replied, matter-of-factly.

    “That would be nice,” I said as I suppressed a giggle. It wasn’t like we fought on purpose.

    “Okay, so I guess that was kind of stupid to say. But maybe we can just, you know, like, tone the fights down a little?”

    “Sounds good to me,” I concurred before kissing her lightly.

    “Hey, want to be really, really lazy and order some room service with me?”

    “Definitely!” I didn’t want to burst her bubble by telling her I had done the same exact thing the night before. It’s strange to think how last night, I would never have even imagined she’d be here, let alone that we’d be able to air our concerns civilly and make up. We ordered and ate, making pleasant conversation the whole time. Things really seemed to be going back to normal and I was ecstatic about it.

    “So what’s next on the Ashley Davies plan of pure laziness?” I joked.

    “Hmm, I don’t know. I guess I was too lazy to finish it,” she replied.

     

    The rest of the weekend passed by without any more major drama. My mother was recovering normally from her surgery which had, according to the doctor, been successful. Ben was going to stay the week, and Clay would take over his duties on Friday afternoon. She would only have to stay at the center for the first 2 months; after that, she would be able to take the medication in L.A. If everything went well, she could be in remission as early as Thanksgiving.

    Ashley and I were on our way back to the city. She had her eyes closed, her iPod on, and was tapping her foot to the beat while I finished up a reading assignment for one of my classes. Even now she looked gorgeous. She opened her eyes moments later to catch me staring and raised an eyebrow, giving me a questioning look. I smiled and she removed one of the ear buds from her iPod.

    1. OKAY!!! I just want to say that I LOVE YOUR STORY. Please don’t stop writing. Everytime you posted a new chapter, I was sooo excited because me and my girl just love the way how Ashley and Spencer are with each other. I love the idea that Ashley is famous as a singer and that Spencer is a college student. I am glad that Paula is getting better and that she finally accepted Spencer and Ashley’s relationship. PMS and don’t stop writing. GREAT UPDATE!!!!!

This fanfic is by far the most realistic thing that could take place where last season’s SON ended…truely, I’m addicted to Ash and Spence mostly because of this story. (and the fact that they’re extremely hot…) Please PMS!!!

Umm, Kozmic attached please find my reasons outlining why you should not end this story:1) This story, or any story you write after this one (that’s right, I’ll definitely accept another one of your stories in place of this one should you end it) and your writing is fanfuckingtastic!2) Booyahkasha! Ashley worked it out on Spencer (why at 26 am I still using “words” like booyahkasha?).3) Meeting Lauryn Hill was easily one of my top three moments in life so a High-5 to the power of 2 for referencing “I Remember.”Please allow these reasons to marinate in your brain…and although true, pretend that reasons 2 and 3 are actually legitimate.

    25. awe man. ending it? ending this stran of this story. i’m okay with that. but as you start a new strand of this story. see the thing i like best about your stuff is you get to go on this long and beautiful evolution of these two people. even though you’ve got three stories they’re just one big story that grows and evolves and that makes me happy. it’d be cool to see em go through Ash’s absolute fame and Spence’s graduation. but if its in your heart to stop, who am i to say different. but i will say that i let out a verbal YES! when i see your name on the new post lists. and i’m very sad when its not there.
