I Could Never Forget About You – (Chapter: Attempting to Erase)

It’s probably the ugliest day of the week outside; the rain is coming down harder than yesterday. I thought Fridays are supposed to be the nicest days of the week, I guess not because I’d define outside as the start of a hurricane

“You going to keep your lazy ass plastered on this couch all day?” Good morning to you too Madison.

“Maybe I will…maybe I won’t.” I reply flipping through channels until I find something tolerable. Will & Grace, ah yes eleven O’clock right on time.

“Yeah, well whether you like it or not…today’s the day we rid your mind of Ashley.” Well I wasn’t thinking about her until you just brought it up.

“Um, yeah…you know what? No.” I reply, trying to watch this ever so interesting show. I remember this one episode where Grace was talking about one of her dreams which somehow included a chicken on a boat…So random right? That’s why I love this show.

“Stop being scared Spence, you’ll do fine.”

“You’ll do fine, I promise.” Reassuring words I’m sure, but you’d be like this too if it was your first day at a new school…with new people…Oh God new people.

“I think I’m going to be sick.” I exaggerate, placing my handover my mouth.

“Quit being a baby Spence, it’s not like you don’t know anybody.” I quickly turn my head towards her, and send her a glare.

“Okay, okay,” She surrenders. “But you know me.”

And she’s right I’ve known Ashley for two months now, and she’s been the best person possible. My life here has been so much better because of her. I can’t even begin to think of where I’d be without her.

I thought by how much time we spend together she’d be sick of me, but it’s the complete opposite. We can’t seem to get enough of each other; it’s almost as if we’re joined at the hip. During this summer there hasn’t been a day that we haven’t hung out, unless of course she had to work.

“Yeah, but you’re not in all my classes.” I pout, turning in the passenger seat until I’m facing her. She turns her attention off the road to send me a smile.
