“No, but we do have English Lit, and Math together.” She says as we pull up to a stop, in front of a light yellow house. It’s small, but looks homey. Why are we here? She seems to answer my question before I can even ask.

                “I’m just picking up a friend.” She says as she shuts the engine off, and we sit in a comfortable silence for about a minute before a tall muscular guy makes his way out of the house. Such a pretty house for a ‘manly man.’ I laugh at my own joke and get a questioning look from Ashley. I quickly shoot my hand up to my mouth, sending quiet ‘I’m sorrys’ her way. She sends me a smile before turning her attention back out the side window.

                “Hey, Ash.” He says making his way to the back seat. I wonder why I haven’t ever seen him, I mean I’ve been here for two months and Ashley hasn’t really mentioned anyone.

                “Hey Aid.” She says, as she watches him through the rearview mirror as he makes his way to the middle of the back seat. Once it becomes clear he’s situated, she focuses her eyes back to me. “This is Spencer, Spencer…Aiden.” She finishes waving her hand between him and I.

                “Hey, I’ve heard so much about you.” Funny since I haven’t heard anything about you. I take a look at Ashley, who is watching me with a smirk as she starts the car. Then I see a hand make its way in between the two front seats. I take his hand in mine shaking it, I can’t help but notice how soft and tender her hand is. Before I know it I’m lost in his touch, and gazing into his soft green orbs.

We are brought out of our so called ‘moment’ by Ashley clearing her throat. Oh I forgot she was there…is that a bad thing?

                “So, uh Aid, how was your summer? You know without me and all?” I quickly retract my hand from Aiden’s grasp and look towards Ashley, who is staring out of the windshield catching glances of me out of the corner of her eye smirking. Okay that was a little embarrassing I mean I’ve known this guy what? Two minutes and he’s already got me spacing out? I lower my head in embarrassment hopefully hiding the blush that just won’t seem to stray from my cheeks.
