I Could Never Forget About You – (Chapter: Invasions)
‘Pack your shit, and load the car’ those are the beautiful words I woke up to this morning by none other than my ass of a brother Glen. See mom just got transferred here to Los Angeles, and of course expected all of us to just drop our shit and leave at the snap of her finger. Psh yeah right. Okay fine it’s not like I had a choice.
I never thought in a million years that I would say this but, school actually beats unloading and unpacking, especially in this hot weather.
“Hey.” I’m brought out of my musings by a voice. Immediately I let go of everything I’m doing to look at the person. It’s a brunette about my height, with possibly the brightest smile I have ever seen.
“Hi.” I reply rather lamely I might add. She seems to find it funny, chuckling a bit at my I guess you could say nervousness? I’ve never been really good at meeting new people, which is probably why I only had like two best friends back in Ohio.
“You new here?” Wow she’s a smart one no? What gave it away the boxes? Oh no wait, wait was it the moving truck? Well now I realize why I suck at this.
“Yep, just moved.” I decide to go along with her little, whatever you want to call it. She’s pretty I’ll give her that, must be a cheerleader.
“Right boxes.” She lets out a slight chuckle, keeping her eyes glued to a very fascinating…rock? Wait a second is she nervous? No one is ever nervous around me; it’s usually the other way around. I hopefully calm her nerves by laughing a bit with her. It seems to have worked because now her chocolate brown eyes are focused on my blue. I can’t help but reciprocate the very contagious grin on her face.
