I Could Never Forget About You – (Chapter: Invasions)

“Shut up.” I reply still smiling like an idiot, I guess he still has that effect on me.

What effect you ask? Well, see here’s the thing, Aiden and I dated way, way, way back in high school for about six months. That of course was before I came to the realization that I had more than friendly feelings for a certain brunette best friend. Damnit! Everything in my life revolves around her.

I can’t help but wonder what she looks like, if she still laughs, or smiles the same? But most importantly…does she still think about me like I do her? Those are all the questions I want to ask Aiden, but something keeps holding me back. You might say I’m scared right? Well I might just have to agree with you.

Ever since she and I lost touch, Aiden’s remained really close friends with her, as he has with me. Does he ever fill me in on how she is, or what she’s doing? No. That’s because I don’t ask, it just hurts too much to think back about it, and he respects that.

“Spence…stop it.” I swear he must be some kind of mind reader, and if he doesn’t wipe that smirk off his face I swear I’m gunna—my mental ramblings are interrupted by some cell phone going off. I check to see it its mine…no such luck, but I find who the culprit is. Aiden.
“Oh, Spence I’ve got to take this real quick, you mind?” He asks. I shake my head the negative, and wonder why he’d ask. Then I realize it could be the pouring rain I see outside the coffee shop window.

“Hey…I’m at the coffee house…with…a friend…um no, you don’t know her. Yes it’s a girl…” Why the hell is this person so interested in what he’s doing…unless of course he has a…No it can’t be…
