I’ll carve your name on a silver bullett – (Chapter: 1)

I stood there alone watching myself fall apart. My reflection in the black painted wood dimmed as the time continued to pass. The sky began to creep its way to darkness as i stood there alone. I made them promise they wouldnt take you away till i was done.

I ran my fingers along the smooth surface of the wood letting my finger trace along the white design. I touch the white cousion on the inside with hope that a bit of heat would rise. Everything i touched felt empty, lifeless, meaningless. It was the true meaning of ‘nothingness’. I longed to feel your hand embrace mine once again. Knowing it wouldnt happen, i broke suddenly.

We had moved to new york and started a whole new life. It was a bit colder there, but you enjoyed things cold. Your heart was cold. The last time we spoke i felt hatred for you that i would never feel again. You dropped me off at the airport as i boarded a plane to head back here, to LA, where your wishes remained.

You didnt think i saw you crying through the window as my plane took off, but i did. I saw you weep like you had nothing left, but then i remembered why i was leaving in the first place. It was because of you. The reasons you caused. The Pain. It took all of my power not to highjack the plane and turn it around on the runway just to see you. To hold your face in my hands and kiss you. To give you my shattered heart and a bottle of elmers glue like when were teens and I tore up your heart shaped valentines day card.

You spent all night gluing it back together. But the nights grew longer and the days grew darker. The love was no longer there and we were drifting apart. Everything i tried to do failed. You let the love i gave you slip through your fingers like water from the river. And i hated you for it. I truely did.

Now i wish there was a way i could take it all back. Feel your warmth. In a desperate attempt to feel your warmth once again, i touch your cheek and caress it in my hand. The cold causing frostbite in my fingertips. My tears fell to your body as if they too wanted to feel you.

    1. Oh dear lord. Did we all swallow the unhappy pill today. That was.. wow. You’re writing is getting better you know that. And that was, poignant, sad and slightly disturbing. I think that’s what you intended.
