I’ll carve your name on a silver bullett – (Chapter: 1)

I swore as a tear touched your skin, you took in a deep breath of the warm california air. This is where you wished yourself to be. You told me many times. I brushed my fingers over your lifeless lips hoping to feel them slightly pucker and kiss them.

I couldnt believe what i heard from the pilot of your private jet. You had ordered him to fly you to LA during a storm. You said no storm was going to keep you away. He lost control of the jet and you each crashed into the lake. Allowing water into the jet, the pilot opened the door and grabbed you. Water rushing in kept you from getting out in time. By the time he pulled you out you were still breathing but only slightly. You were pulled to land and asked questions. No matter the question asked, your answer was my name.

You always were crafty. You even brought beautiful art to drowning. I hated the pilot for the letter he sent me. It was so detailed and it hurt me so badly as the pictures flashed before my eyes. I kept that letter in my hands every night and read it over and over again. It was my punishment for what i caused and i couldnt bare to live with it.

Finally i allow the boys to move in towards your casket. I lay a kiss on my fingertips and place them on your lips with one last whisper. "ill be back." I watched them close the casket revealing a brass colored cross. You werent religous. You beleived that things just happend. For you, seeing was believing.

I watched them lower you into the ground as they piled dirt on top. I stepped away slowly only to return later on.
    —————————–

As i return it has become complete nightfall. I touch your tombstone allowing my fingers to shakily trace the letters. A…S…H…L…E…Y…D…A- i couldnt continue. I felt the tears streming down my face plowing themselves into the soil searching for your body.

I hold my purse open and pull out the cold metal from its end. My body shakes heavily as i place the rounded, cold metal against my head. I let out 2 more sobs allowing them to hit my black slacks and absorb into them freely. I pull the tab back, cocking it. The click sounded louder through the night air.

I pull the trigger only slightly to where it wont yet go off. I pull it back comletely. When they pull the bullett from my body, they will see your name carved into it sharply. I simply wanted you to be the last thing to go through my head.

    1. Oh dear lord. Did we all swallow the unhappy pill today. That was.. wow. You’re writing is getting better you know that. And that was, poignant, sad and slightly disturbing. I think that’s what you intended.
