“What is it,” the rocker asked cautiously.
Clay looked around at all the dinner table’s patrons unsure. “Um, Ashley, it might be best if we discuss this in your office. Ryan? You’ll have to come too. This concerns you as well.”
“Alright,” Ashley said. “You two head up there. Everyone else, enjoy the rest of dinner. Spencer didn’t take all that time slaving over the stove for nothing right?”
With that being said, everyone began eating and chatting once more. Spencer gave her fiancée a worried look. Ashley smiled lightly and kissed her cheek, “I’ll be back soon baby. Stay here,” she whispered before heading upstairs.
When the brunette entered her office, she found Clay seated across from her desk, a stack of papers were clutched tightly in his hands. Ryan, his face full of anxiousness, stood with his arms crossed next to Clay.
Letting loose a deep, shaky breath, Ashley took a seat behind her desk and folded her hands on the dark brown surface. “What’s going on?”
“This,” Clay answered as he slammed the papers down on the desk “I was just informed on the phone to fish this out of the mail.”
“What is it,” Ryan asked leaning over to get a better look.
“It’s a lawsuit.”
Ashley’s eyes shot up to meet her accountant’s, “What?”
“Your record label, Rebel Rock, is suing you and the band.”
“You’ve got to be fucking kidding me,” the rocker whispered.
“I really wish I was,” Clay replied with a sighed.
“Why?” Ryan questioned baffled. “What reason do they have for suing us?”
“According to, Mike Lewinski, the label’s attorney, if there is no new manager signed on with an artist within a month of the former manager’s absence than they have right to sue for creative control over any songs written in the past two years.”
“That’s bullshit,” Ashley growled. “The label knows what shit I’ve been going through this year. How the fuck was I supposed to know I needed to get a new manager!”
“They said it was in the contract you signed.”
“I signed that fucking contract when I was sixteen!” The rocker countered. “That was nearly seven years ago. Don’t they think a refresher as to what was on that fucking sheet would have helped?”

no way first coment?! ok ill hurry then…so im grounded but it was worth sneaking over here and reading lol i loved it you said dark i was thinking alot darker but im glad it wasnt for their sake lol uhm….glad they are ok the lable sucks ass!! and :O going on tour again?!? thats gonna kill spencer…..so sad :( but cant wait for the next chapter im on the edge of my seat lol pms please i absoulutly loved it this is a great great great story!! :D
cnt wait for the next chap…the label is an ass…i hope they crash n burn while ash sky rockets further into fame…and if she goes bak out on tour spencer shuld go with n jus get a tutor on the bus…it’ll b perfect…sumwhat…anyways pms!!!
seriously, ash needs to like, countersue or something. those greedy record label bastards! and i really hope that spencer and ash can tour together, cause like, they need some time together! awesome update pms!
It’s like 2 am in Poland now and I just read the whole story at once. I was totally gluted to it. Just like to ‘My Alien Girlfrind’ yesterday. You’re a amazing writer. There is something about your stories that make them different than others. I don’t know what is it yet but I’ll find out. Just keep posting so I have my chance :)
Hi, I just wanted to say that although I was with you in the beginning of this story I wasn’t able to keep up with the new chapters. Yesterday I got all caught up with your stories but was waiting for this new chapter to leave a comment. The story is fantastic and I’ve enjoyed every chapter, some were more stressful to read than others. You had me yelling at my laptop more than once. I had an intense hatred for Mark, b*****d! And now Ash is still suffering because of him!!. I’m with Spashley4eva93, I hope Ashley makes millions! PMS!!
ash should definitely find some way of revenge. although starting her own label may just do the trick once she starts raking in the money again and the label realizes what they lost. I’m still pissed at ash for what she said to spence and if I were spence I wouldn’t have forgiven her so easily. great update, pms please!
