“Had,” Ashley corrected walking into the room. “I was their best artist, now I’m not.”
“Ash, are you alright,” Ryan asked in concern.
Ashley nodded and patted his shoulder. “Yeah, Spencer forgave me. I can tell she’s still shaken up but … we’re doing better. I just put her to bed.”
“What did they say on the phone to you Ash,” Clay questioned.
“Well, they said I either pay up and the suit is dropped or I don’t pay and I’m fired with the suit still on my hands. I said no and they fired me. I’m going to pay them still though; I don’t want to deal with that lawsuit.”
Everyone was prepared to respond but Ashley silenced them. “I know this is all unfair you guys and I know you’re all wondering why I should pay the company that’s just fucked me over but, I have a plan. Clay, I know this is going to kill you but I want you to sign them over the check tomorrow. The faster I get this over with the less media attention this will gather.”
“What’s your plan Ash,” Brian asked.
“I’m going to start my own record label.”
“What,” Clay blurted. “Ashley that’s going to take a lot of money and time.”
“Clay you act like I’m poor or something,” Ashley countered with a frown. “I have money. Are you forgetting that I’m one of the top artists in this country?”
“No I’m not,” the accountant said. “But, cash flow hasn’t been running as steadily since you checked into rehab Ashley. We owe the movie studio a couple hundred thousand for the film that you never finished then on top of that you don’t have a manager.”
“Don’t have a heart attack there buddy, I’ve got that all covered.” Ashley replied calmly. “I’ve already got somebody in mind of whom I want to be my new manager. He’s in the room with us right now actually.”
“Ashley, me, really? I’m flattered.” Eric began.
“Not you dumbass, I was talking about Ryan.”
Ryan’s eyes widened. “Me?”
“I can’t think of anyone else better for the job,” Ashley said. “I know I can trust you. I also know that you’re very capable of keeping my crazy ass in check. Plus, it pays a whole lot better than being a bass player.”
“Well if it pays better,” Ryan mulled over playfully. “I guess I’ll accept.”
“Okay that’s great you have a manager,” Clay continued. “But what about the money problem.”
Ashley thought it over. “I guess … I’ll go back out on tour.” Which would mean leaving home again … and Spencer.

no way first coment?! ok ill hurry then…so im grounded but it was worth sneaking over here and reading lol i loved it you said dark i was thinking alot darker but im glad it wasnt for their sake lol uhm….glad they are ok the lable sucks ass!! and :O going on tour again?!? thats gonna kill spencer…..so sad :( but cant wait for the next chapter im on the edge of my seat lol pms please i absoulutly loved it this is a great great great story!! :D
cnt wait for the next chap…the label is an ass…i hope they crash n burn while ash sky rockets further into fame…and if she goes bak out on tour spencer shuld go with n jus get a tutor on the bus…it’ll b perfect…sumwhat…anyways pms!!!
seriously, ash needs to like, countersue or something. those greedy record label bastards! and i really hope that spencer and ash can tour together, cause like, they need some time together! awesome update pms!
It’s like 2 am in Poland now and I just read the whole story at once. I was totally gluted to it. Just like to ‘My Alien Girlfrind’ yesterday. You’re a amazing writer. There is something about your stories that make them different than others. I don’t know what is it yet but I’ll find out. Just keep posting so I have my chance :)
Hi, I just wanted to say that although I was with you in the beginning of this story I wasn’t able to keep up with the new chapters. Yesterday I got all caught up with your stories but was waiting for this new chapter to leave a comment. The story is fantastic and I’ve enjoyed every chapter, some were more stressful to read than others. You had me yelling at my laptop more than once. I had an intense hatred for Mark, b*****d! And now Ash is still suffering because of him!!. I’m with Spashley4eva93, I hope Ashley makes millions! PMS!!
ash should definitely find some way of revenge. although starting her own label may just do the trick once she starts raking in the money again and the label realizes what they lost. I’m still pissed at ash for what she said to spence and if I were spence I wouldn’t have forgiven her so easily. great update, pms please!
