Loved and Lost – (Chapter: One- Look My Way)

Spencer felt her throat tighten at Ashley’s demands, her brows lowering as she finally tilted her head slightly to the side and looked over at her. Her blue eyes took her in, scanning over the familiar figure before settling on the brown eyes before her. Finally she gave a slightly disgusted shake of her head and looked away, as if she couldn’t even bare to look at her. But, it wasn’t the anger that had caused her to turn away, it was the rush of blood to her head that occurred at just the sight of her. Over the past three months she had managed to burry the memories she had of them together, and now they were all coming rushing to the surface.

“Don’t look at me like that….” Ashley spoke, voice soft as her eyes shifted to the floor. She had been too preoccupied by her own thoughts to notice the emotion behind Spencer’s gaze. Instead all she saw was bitterness and disgust. It burned her to the core to think that not only might Spencer not love her anymore, but that she might even hate her. This whole time she had nursed the idea that Spencer still loved her and couldn’t possibly just forget her like that. Now she was disillusioned, her body sinking slightly into her chair, “Look, I’m sorry-”

“Don’t.” Spencer cut her off, not looking over again but still staring ahead. She didn’t want to hear it, she didn’t want to have to hear that voice, it was like torture. Even she was impressed by her ability to sound so cold, so unfeeling,, when inside it was a battlefield. But, even her firm warning wasn’t enough to deter Ashley who merely continued what she was saying, “I never wanted you to get hurt-”

She was cut of again, this time by the teacher who was pointing at the door, “I warned you Davies, outside, now.” Spencer exhaled a slightly relieved sigh, not watching Ashley rise to her feet but feeling the whoosh of wind as she moved by her. Unable to stop herself she inhaled a bit, catching Ashley’s unique smell in her nose for just a moment. The last time she had embraced that aroma was at the prom, when they were in each others arms and she couldn’t have been happier.

    1. Yeah, this story is really good. I was so disappointed that Ashley got back with Aiden, such a bonehead move. I have been thinking about season 3 and I finally considered something that I didn’t before, if Ashley gets back with Aiden this season, I don’t see how Spencer would EVER get back with her, because she would have got back with Aiden, the person she was already worried about, the person she trusted and called a friend. I just don’t see how Spencer would ever get back with her, if there is Ashden this season, I know I wouldn’t, no matter how much I loved the person. But back to this story, Im glad to see Spencer acting so cold, Ashley deserves. I wish that Spencer would have called out certain things about Ashley to Ashley, in public. Ashley deserves to hurt more, before Spencer even gives her a .001% at a chance of forgiveness. Because there is nothing Ashley can say. She didn’t choose Spencer, she choose Aiden, which was a mistake, but its hers, she made it, and now she is gonna gave to attempt to live with it. I loved Spencer’s tirade, and I hope she does something like that in the actual show, because its the truth, she was willing to sacrifice any and everything to be with Ashley, and Ashley was selfish and took it for granted and abused Spencer’s feelings. And she deserves much more pain than these past 3 months where she was fucking Aiden. So, I feel no sympathy for her right now.But good start and I hope you update again soon.
