“Hey…again.” She said back she wanted to say more but she found that she became lost in dark eyes and forgot what she going to say. What made her heart skip a beat was the fact that Ashley was looking at her with the same intensity.

“You look really nice tonight.” She said breaking eye contact and hid her face, it wasn’t like her to give such compliments but it had slipped out.

Soph ducked her head again trying to hide her blush, she had dressed like this to get Ashley’s attention and it seemed like it was working. “thanks.” There she was going to say more but the noise as they ended any thoughts to speak.

Both girls stopped when they entered, the place was buzzing there was a band playing at that moment and loads of sweating bodies danced to the beat pulsating through them. Lights flashed and bodies moved as they made their way through the crowds to find their friends who were waiting at the bar for them. Ashley thought for a brief second that Spencer’s face had dropped but a smile came back.

“I love it here.” Ash shouted that the group could hear them.

“What’s not to love, cool music and girls wearing very little clothing.” Aiden said as his eyes scanned the dance floor.

“You need a bucket to catch the drool?” Sophia asked as he handed her a drink of coke.

“Give it five more minutes.” He winked at her. “You wanna have a twirl on the dance floor?” He asked her as he held out his hand to her which she excepted.

“Lets get down and dirty.”

“Promises promises.” He said as he went off into the crowd.

The two girls watched the other two dance, Aiden was standing behind Soph with his hands on her hips as they swayed to the beat; he was like a kid in a candy store. Ashley couldn’t explain why she turned away from the scene but she didn’t want to see it. Looking at Spencer she could see the girl was trying to say something to her but she couldn’t hear a word of it.

“WHAT?”

Spencer rolled her eyes and grabbed Ashley’s hand pulling her towards the dance floor and finally she understood. They passed the others who were walking back towards the bar as the song they were dancing to had finished. By the time they got to the middle of the dance floor the band had started up again and a new singer was on, however it was not the blood thumping type of song they expected instead it was a slow ballad. The duo stood awkwardly for a moment until Spencer took a deep breath and placed her arms around Ashley’s neck, and feeling brave the other girl put her hands lightly on the blonde’s waist. A beautiful male voice floated through the club and the two girls moved in time unable to take their eyes from each other. And at that moment both girls fully believed they had never been happier, everything seemed to be falling into place. They didn’t speak because their closest said it all and at that moment no words were needed between the pair of them.
