Spencer: you. He has seen you around school. He’s definitely crushin, well crushing is not really the word for it…more like lusting. He’s kind of the trouble maker slash ladies man, at least he thinks he is. 

Ashley: Oh…gotcha. So you almost rip my arm off to save me from your brother “the creeper”?

Spencer: Yeah…sorry! I didn’t mean to hurt you. (She gives me the puppy dog eyes, then touches my arm…)

Ashley: Its ok cutie. But I guess now…you are kinda like my…hero?

(I give her a smirk and she just blushes and giggles.)

Spencer: Exactly. You owe me now!

Ashley: Oh do I? So what do I owe you?

(I think my flirting came off a little stronger than I had planned there, She blushed again and then went silent. Please tell me I didn’t screw this up….)

Spencer: So Aiden…what the story on him?

(Good she’s talking again. she sits on her bed and turns to me)

Ashley: Um, he’s really a sweet guy when out of school, just one on one time helps you get to know him. He’s really not as macho as you think. For example..He cried during the notebook.

Spencer: He cried?haha that’s great!

(Now that the tension eased up, I decided to move to the bed sitting down by her feet.)

Spencer: So are you two…umm…like a thing? Or were you?

Ashley: Oh, well we were for awhile. He’s great but it just didn’t work out. Plus my interests kind of faded in jocks..haha.

Spencer: Oh yeah? So Glen has no chance. Good deal. Well that’s good that you’re still friends. I couldn’t be friends with my ex…

Ashley: Thats too bad. I know how that goes. Aiden is the only one who talks to me. The others, well I guess you can’t really…never mind. 

(I try to laugh it off, but she can tell I had a little pain in that last sentence.)

Spencer: Oh yeah. I’m lame, I’ve only had one boyfriend. Almost a year and a half later, I figured out he didn’t hold my interests for even one second. That probably sounds cold, just I don’t know what I want really…

Ashley: Who does? I sure as hell don’t! (pause)Spencer…I should really tell you something.
