One Side Love? – (Chapter: A Sad Excuse for an Apartment)

"Evicted!"€ Brown eyes flitted across the yellow sheet. "Dammit." The paper was ripped in half, then in thirds and thrown into the trash.

    "€œI only missed three payments…"

    —

"So what’re you going to do?"

Ashley banged her head against her desk and muttered, "I have no idea."

"You should probably look for another apartment,"€ her co-worker suggested.

Ashley moved her head so she saw the other photographer. She gave her the most thanks-for-stating-the-obvious look she could muster. "No shit, Sherlock?" she expressed. "But there’€™s one tinsy-tiny problem."

    "€œWhat’s that?"

"€œI don’t have money! Don’t have great short term memory do you, Spence? That’s why I was kicked out in the first place."

Spencer scowled and tartly replied, "€œYou should’ve managed–"

    "€œ–your money better,"€ Ashley finished. "Please, I have a ‘oh-bitch’€™ mom."

"Well, fine," Spencer huffed. "I was just trying to be a good friend."€

Ashleyâ’s face turned from agitated to mischievous in a split second. "If you want to be a fantastic friend…"

"No."€ Spencer glared at her co-worker. Spencer knew Ashley too well after the ten years she’€™s known her. Ashley was definitely not spend thrifty and wasted half her weekly pay check on cloths, shoes and bags. She is just like a little kid in a toy store when she goes into an cloth store. The saying is true for Ashley: As women grown up, the only thing that changes is that they spend more money on clothes, shoes and bags. Spencer would gladly omit herself from that quote; however, she knows that she acts like a little girl on occasion and she definitely loves all the new devices. But if that glint in Ashley’s brown eyes meant what Spencer thought it meant, Spencer was in a world of trouble.

    "€œBut–"€

    "€œNo, Ashley!"€

"€œYou’re up to your eyeballs in money!"

Spencer smacked her hand on her desk, sending the photo of models she’d been working on to the floor. Ashley jumped at the violent smack, and instantly stopped begging. She started down the pity road instead. "€œI’€™m in so much trouble, Spencer," she whined. "€œI will have nowhere to sleep in a week. Do you want me to spend my days on the streets? No shower, no bed, no roof over my head…ha, ha, that rhymed." Ashley giggled to herself. "€œWhat am I supposed to do?"

    1. oh, btw guys. Sorry about the unknown symbol, I’ll edit it tomorrow. I’m currently on my cell phone. And, I’m so used to Ashley being ‘the lesbian’ and Spencer being ‘the straight’ girl, so I might mix up with Ashley’s bf as gf. If there’s any mistakes, I do apologize. xMitsu
