    P.S. I Love You – (Chapter: patience)

“this is true” I told her

“yeah you love me and my crooked fingers” she said holding up her hand

“oh shut up” I told her “trust me I’d know if they were crooked” I said and she looked up at me quickly then started to laugh

    “oh would you now?”

“you are so…ugh!” I told her taking a bite of food and she laughed at me because she always got a kick out of being annoying

“you don’t even think my collar bone is gross?” she said moving her shirt collar over “I mean…I have like a golfball in my neck”

“okay that is kind of gross…I try to ignore it” I told her then people were walking by the window and they just looked at me

“you get used to that hun?” she asked me

“I guess…” I told her “…you’ll be there too, especially if you’re with me…so why not make something out of it?” I asked

“stop it” she said “my music is my own…no one else’s” she told me “you ever think you’d be there? On a billboard or on a tv commercial?”

“what’s that supposed to mean?” I asked her

“no…no I mean like, 5 years ago did you ever picture yourself as a Victoria’s Secret model?” she asked me

“defiantly not…but I don’t know, I don’t want to give up the journalism thing…I mean rolling stone is my life”

“and you shouldn’t give it up”

“just like you shouldn’t give up your music?” I asked her

“I’m not giving up on my music…I’m just not taking it anywhere else” she told me “look I have the ability to produce myself, I can record my own songs, but I’m not going to do it”

“but you should” I told her “look get mad at me or whatever, but I know that you’ll love it if you just try” I said

“what’s there to love? Being away from home eight months out of the year? Not seeing you every day? Somehow I don’t think that’s fun at all” she told me taking another bite of her food

After dinner we walked back down the street and people were taking pictures, but we chose to ignore them “why are you mad at me?” I asked her then she took my hand in hers
