    a pitch to be done

    Opening my eyes to find my room bathed in early morning sunlight had never been a particularly welcome occurrence for me; apart from that morning, when I woke to find golden hair splayed across my pillow, and the graceful curve of an ivory bust slowly rising and falling as the beauty it belonged to breathed deeply and soundly. Her lips were slightly parted as she inhaled the peaceful air around us, and it took every ounce of my will to force myself to wake her up. Unfortunately, we had business to attend to, and so my dreams of watching her sleep for a good few more hours were shattered.

    “Spence,” I sighed, lifting my head slightly to gaze the length of her stunning profile; her perfect nose, the beautiful curve of her lips, the strong line of her jaw.

    “Spence,” I repeated, slightly louder. She murmured, child-like in her sleep, but stirred no more.

    I smiled to myself, remembering the not-so innocent or child-like sounds I’d made come from her only a couple of hours before. The thought made me immediately want to resume the previous night’s events, but sadly I knew we hadn’t the time – we had pressing matters to attend to at DJC. Still, I slowly raised my hand to gently rake the tips of my fingers from her collar bone, down her sternum, to her navel, resting my palm on her abdomen as I tilted my head towards her delicate ear.

    “Spence, wake up,” I whispered, my lips gently teasing her lobe. It was such a gentle touch, I could feel the slight down on her ear’s edge. She didn’t respond, although somehow subconsciously she turned her head in my direction, facing me with unopened eyes. I kissed both her eyelids before trying to rouse her again.

    After achieving nothing, yet again, I decided to use a more forceful approach and turned over, placing my left leg firmly between her two whilst laying the full front of my body against her side. My arm snaked out to hug her waist and I squeezed her gently as my lips found hers. It wasn’t long before the kiss was reciprocated, and I knew my strategy had finally worked.

    “Victory is mine,” I smiled softly into the kiss as I pulled slightly away.
