    Spencer wakes up

    SPENCER’S P.O.V.

    I feel something cold, and wet on my forehead. I peek an eye open, my vision adjusting. I pull the wet towel off my forehead. I try sitting up, but the feeling of vertigo takes over again and I lay back. I look around, while laying on my…cot? I’m in the nurses office in the back room where you can lay down. The nurse walks in.

    Nurse: “Don’t try to sit up dear, your parents are on their way to pick you up.”

    Spencer: “What happened?”

    Nurse: “You fainted.” she looks at her chart. “…Aiden Dennison and Ashley Davies brought you in.”

    Spencer: “Are they still here?”

    Nurse: “The boy went back to class, and the girl is sitting out in the waiting area.”

    Spencer: “Can I see her?”

    Nurse: “I’m not supposed to let people in the back rooms with the sick patients.” I pout. But it’s one of those real, natural pouts. Not a fake one. The nurse walks out. She comes back minutes later.

    Nurse: “Ok, I’m really not supposed to do this, but…” she opens the curtains further to reveal Ashley, then she smiles at the both of us and steps out. Ashley looks at me worried, as she steps in further.

    Ashley: “Are you okay?” she asks worried.

    Spencer: “I think I am.”

    Ashley: “Well, I called your mom and dad. They’re on their way.” she walks up next to me on the cot. “You really scared me Spencer.”

    Spencer: “Aiden left?” Ashley just rolls her eyes.

    Ashley: “Yea, a while ago.” she says annoyed. “Maybe I should leave too.” she says turning to walk away. I grab her hand.

    Spencer: “Please, don’t.” she turns back to look at me and pulls her hand away.

    Ashley: “Fine.” she whispers then takes a seat by me on the edge of the cot. I reach up to brush her hair.

    Ashley: “Don’t.” she says turning her head away. I withdraw my hand.

    Spencer: “I’m sorry.” I whisper.

    Ashley: “Whatever.” she says nonchalantly. I can tell she’s still hurting. We’re quiet for a while.

    Spencer: “So…she your new girlfriend?”

    Ashley: “Something like that.” she looks at me. “Why do you care?” she asks shaking her head.

    Spencer: “I don’t.” it was a complete lie.

    2. I don’t think Spencer could make anymore mistakes if she could with Ashley I mean really pretending the she doesn’t exist, is horrible, especially to someone you love. she just keeps digging herself a big ol’ hole
