Since Birth – (Chapter: 16: Silent War?)

Ashley: “So why’d you ask then?” she asks annoyed.

Spencer: “I just wanted to know okay?!”

Ashley: “No! It’s not ok. Who I want to date, or…do anything with is none of your business, so just do me a favor. Stick to your green Crayon whore and stay out of my personal love life!”

Spencer: “Well that’s gonna be pretty hard, seeing as we live together!”

Ashley: “Actually, it’s quite easy. Just don’t talk to me! Pretend I don’t exist!”

Spencer: “Fine I will!” Ashley looks at me, she looks…surprised, annoyed, and angry. She stomps out of the room.

A few minutes later my parents came. They checked me and Ashley out of school, since school only had about 2 ½ more hours left. Ashley is trailing us in her car. This car ride feels unbearably awkward.

Paula: “So are you ok honey? Do you feel sick?”

Spencer: “I feel a little tired, that’s about it.”

Arthur: “What we’re you doing before you fainted?”

Spencer: “Nothing, I was on my way to the restroom.”

    Paula: “Did you eat?”

    Spencer: “I ate breakfast.”

Arthur: “What about sleep? Have you been sleeping?”

Spencer: “Yes.” but not too well.

Paula: “Maybe you’re stressed. Being overstressed can cause a person to pass out.” Yep, that’s the one.

Arthur: “Are you stressed about anything?”

Spencer: “Um…” Yes. Ashley, me. Us. And her with that skank. “Nope, not that I can think of.”

So we’re home now. My dad made dinner and we’re all sitting at the table. Mom and dad are at the end of the table, Ashley across from me and Christine next to her.

Spencer: “Would you pass the salt?” I say to Ashley. She just looks around the room, acting like she heard nothing. Everyone looked at us confused. Ashley just keeps eating.

Spencer: “Would you please pass the salt?!” I ask louder. She just keeps eating and begins humming some tune. I roll my eyes. Christine passes me the salt.

Spencer: “Thank you aunt Chris.” she just nods.

I can feel everyone’s eyes on me. I look up to see Ashley staring at me angrily, chewing her food. I stare back at her while eating my food. We continue our intense staring contest. I know everyone’s wondering what’s going on, they’re all looking at us, but Ashley and I ignore the probing eyes and continue staring.

Arthur: “Ok, who’s up for dessert?” he says cheerfully. I can tell he’s trying to make the situation less awkward.

Ashley: “I’m full.” she says angrily, still staring back at me, then getting up from the table. She walks to her room. Everyone turns their attention to me.

Spencer: “So…what’s for dessert?” I ask in a peppy tone, smiling.

    1. I don’t think Spencer could make anymore mistakes if she could with Ashley I mean really pretending the she doesn’t exist, is horrible, especially to someone you love. she just keeps digging herself a big ol’ hole
