Paula: “Why were you getting off the elevator than?” She smiles at the man behind the desk politely, and as she turns to look at Spencer, I see the concierge give me a sympathetic grimace and I roll my eyes in agreement.
Spencer: “Well…That. Is. A. Great. Question, mom. Weeeee… went to… your…room. We went to your room to find you!” She looks really proud of herself and I can’t help but laugh into my hand and cough to cover it up as I turn to look the opposite way.
Paula: “Oh. You knew what room we were in?”
Concierge: “You were in room 812, correct?”
Spencer: “Room, 812! Of course I knew, silly! She says gesturing at the concierge before she slams her hand on the lobby desk to emphasize her point. “What, did you think we just roamed the halls looking for you?!” She forces another laugh out and rolls her eyes at her mom like she’s the crazy one. The concierge gives me the slightest of winks that only I can see and mouth my thanks and he gives me a slight head nod signaling his ‘you’re welcome.’
Paula: “Oh, okay. Well you father and I were going to get breakfast, he’s saving us a table, why don’t you join us and then we’ll head over to your school?”
Spencer: “Sounds like a lovely plan.” Paula takes her credit card back and her new swipe key and starts to walk over to the dining area. I busy myself with the different brochures on the front desk as a pretense so that I can pay the man, as Spencer followers her, turning back to me and mock wiping her forehead in relief. I take out my own credit card and hand it over to the concierge.
Paula: “Why are you both wearing the same clothes you wore yesterday?” Spencer’s head turns so fast back to her mother’s departing form that I thought it was going to come clean off before she looks back desperately at me.
Concierge: “Global warming.” He whispers down to me.
Ashley: “Global warming!” I hiss to Spencer, and thank God she heard me!
Spencer: “Global warming, mom, everyone does it here!” She explains to her mother as she walks into the restaurant. I turn back to the concierge.

Haha, I laughed when Spencer yelled at the maid and left the note… Such a spencer thing to do XD I hope her mum is going to be okay with it… Update soon!
