“when I’m away from home I never want to go back…” she told me “…how pathetic is that?”

“it’s not pathetic…if I had to deal with that I wouldn’t want to go home either…” I admitted to her then she curled up next to me again

“you think this will be different?” she asked me then she realized I was confused “like you and me…compared to the other shitty relationships I’ve been in?” she asked

“well I hope I’m not a bad girlfriend” I replied laughing a little

“I mean, I always would see you with your girlfriends and I was so jealous”

“really? Why?”

“the way you smiled when you saw them, and how you cuddled all the time and just looked like you always wanted to be with them” she told me

“well I do want to be with you, and truth be told I’ve had girlfriends that were jealous of you…” I admitted to her

“liar” she replied

“no I’m serious…” I told her “…we’d fight because they’d be like ‘you never look at me like you look at her’ and I kept telling them you’re my best friend, but I think I’ve had a crush on you for a while, but being your friend has been awesome”

“if it weren’t dark you’d see me blushing right now” she said making me laugh a little then I pulled her into me

“can you go to sleep now?” I asked her

“yeah…” she said simply kissing my cheek as she rested her head against my neck “…spence?”

“hm?” I replied

“can we sleep in?”

“defiantly” I told her as I drifted into sleep yet again as I had fifteen minutes before

That Monday came quickly. I drove to school in the morning, and Ashley wasn’t there yet because she didn’t park next to me like she usually does. We parked in the same spots everyday and then at the end of the day we walked to our cars together basically telling each other about everything that day. Then again, I did actually get to school around 7:30 because I had a paper I needed to write and I didn’t the night before because I had been on the phone with Ashley.
