“You like Mr. Airplain Man?” She asked as she motioned to a large poster I had on one of the living room walls.

“Love them!” I replied.  “Margaret and Tara are an awesome duo.  The have that Boston garage rock sound perfected.”

She nodded. “What are your favorite songs?”

“For the slow, sexy songs Wonderin’ is by far my fave, but How Long is good too.  Then for their faster songs I really like Moanin’, Up in the Room and Make you Mine.” I said.

“So what if I told you I had stage passes to see them in a few weeks.” She replied.

“You’re joking right?!” I exclaimed.

“Nope.  Would you be interested in possibly going with me?” She asked.

“YES!” I yelled.  I was stoked. 

“Awesome, let’s call it a date then.” Ashley said smiling.

“So do I have to wait 3 weeks, or is there a possibility I might get another date with you sooner?” I asked coyly.

“I don’t know…my schedule is pretty booked these days.” She replied.

“Whatever!” I said as I walked out the door to the patio.  My phone beeped again reminding me that I had an unread text message.  I opened the phone.  I was going to have some serious words with who ever interrupted me in the kitchen.  It was from Kaylen and she had attached a completely beautiful picture of her and Aiden.

“So who do we have to thank for the buzz kill.” Ashley said as she followed me out of the house.  I handed her the phone.

“Wow! They look great.” She said. 

“Totally.” I replied “I can’t even be mad at her for sending that text because I told her to earlier!”

We flopped down onto two of the large cushioned patio chairs with our wine.  Talking came easy this time.  Time flew by as we just asked general questions about each other.   It was awesome just to be able to sit across from her and watch her.  Her laugh was contagious and her nose wrinkled up in the most adorable way when she smiled big.  It was all the little things of her that I was collecting while she talked.  They were all so well worth the first kiss interruption.
