    Author Notes:

    First day of school.

    The alarm clock blared at 6:00 in the morning.  Kenny Chesney’s "Don’t Blink" rang loud and clear throughout the room.  Ashley jumped up quickly to turn off the alarm clock shotting daggers at Spencer who was standing in the doorway.

    "Why do you always do that?"  Ashley asked.

    "Because you hate country, and that is the only way for me to wake you up."  Spencer said.

    "First off, that song is just wrong.  Second off, why am I awake again?"  Ashley asked while she put clothes on.

    "First, that song is totally great.  Second, today is Taylor’s first day of school.  You are going."  Spencer said.

    "Oh, yeah.  And, that song is wrong.  You aren’t twenty five when you wake up from your six year old nap.  You are like fifty."  Ashley said laughing.

    "Funny.  Go get your daughter up."  Spencer said before leaving the bedroom.

    Ashley walked in to see Taylor already up.  She was already showed, but she was standing there in just her underwear.

    "I was a rebel in school, but I never went naked."  Ashley said looking at the little girl.

    "Actually, Ash, there was that one time…"  Spencer began coming into the room.

    "Shut up."  Ashley said giving Spencer her second glare of the day.

    "I just don’t know what to wear.  I mean, I could look like Mom and wear something cute, or I could look like you and wear something hot."  The five year old said.

    "You don’t think I wear stuff that’s hot?"  Spencer said pake pouting to her daughter.

    "You know what I mean.  You’re all Abercromibe and Fitch while Mom is all Victoria’s Secret."  The little girl said laughing.

    "Right.  Her slut.  Me cute."  Spencer said laughing as she picked up some of Taylor’s clothes.

    "Slut?"  Ashley said putting her hand over her heart pretending to be hurt.

    "I’m kidding baby."  Spencer said kissing Ashley on the lips briefly.

    "Can you guys kiss later?  I’ve got a major crisis here."  Taylor said.

    "I wasn’t worried about what I wore my first day of school."  Ashley began.  "I was worried about not making friends."

    "Well, I already know most of them."  Taylor said holding up a shirt only to throw it back into her closet.  "I did go to Pre K for a reason."

    1. I just started reading this story and I really like but this last chapter the vocabulary used by taylor just had me scratching my head. Isn’t she a little young to have such an extensive vocabulary. Other then that I really like it.

    2. I just read through it, and I don’t see anywhere that she might use what is called “extensive” vocabulary. She’s not using any big words, and she’s using complete sentences. Maybe I’m wrong. My cousin is five, and she talks like that. Thanks for reading though.

    3. “Right. Her slut. Me cute.” lol that was funny. I really enjiyed this chapter.It had me laughing. Let me tell you kids now day are growing up alot faster then we did. My bestfriend’s kid is 4 and he has a better vocabulary then some 10 year olds. I hope you update somemore soon.

    6. awww i love the whole mini-spashley thing going on its so cute, you should keep samantha around when they grow up and then theyll grow in to spashley II, i can see it now *sigh* that is great.
