“I’m gonna head outside for a cigarette guys, I’ll be back in a few,” Spencer said as she got up out of the booth and opened her purse finding her cigarettes and lighter.

“I’ll go with you, you dirty smoker!”  Ashley said as she got out of the booth as well.

“I’ll hold the fort down here, ladies” Kevin chimed in. 

Ashley and Spencer headed towards the exit arm in arm, and out into the night.  Once they were outside, Spencer released Ashley’s arm.  She pulled out a cigarette and put it in her mouth; she brought the lighter up and lit it.  Ashley slung her arm around Spencer’s shoulders.

“Hey, dirty smoker, can I bum one?”  Ashley’s nose crinkled, as she smiled broadly.

“Oh I see how it is.  I’m the dirty smoker, right, right…” she said as she handed Ashley a cigarette and held the lighter up for her to light it. 

“Kev doesn’t have to know about this either…”

“Gotcha.”  Spencer said winking at her.

‘Ashley, you always have to touch me, huh?  Do you know what you do to me? I don’t think you do.’

Ashley’s arm was still around her shoulders, so she moved her arm around Ashley’s waist and leaned her head near the crook of Ashley’s neck as she took another drag of her cigarette.  Ashley pulled her closer.

“I’m so glad you come out tonight, Spence.  I really have missed you like crazy.” She said while looking down at Spencer.

“Me, too.  We’ll have to make a habit out of it.” Spencer jested as she lifted her head off of Ashley’s shoulder.

“I’d like that.  But next time I’ll leave the boyfriend at home.  He totally ruins our Ashley-Spencer time.”

“Truth.”  Spencer agreed, smiling from ear to ear. 

Once the girls finished their cigarettes they headed back into the bar and found Kevin at their booth.

“Ladies, I know you’re having fun, but I’m old and need to go to sleep soon.”  He joked, grinning.

“I’m pretty beat, too.”  Spencer admitted.

“Oh, fine.  You guys are sooooooo lame.”  Ashley accused.

All three laughed at this.  They proceeded to pay the tab and exit the club. 

Once outside, Kevin gave Spencer a hug goodbye and Ashley informed them both that she would walk Spencer to her car.  Kevin took off in the direction of his car, while Spencer and Ashley headed the opposite direction to Spencer’s car.

When they arrived at Spencer’s car Ashley pulled her into another embrace.  She squeezed tightly and Spencer did the same.

Ashley was slightly muffled as her face was buried in Spencer’s hair, “I had so much fun tonight with you.  You are the greatest.”

“Likewise, Ash.  We always did have fun.”  Spencer admitted. 

“Very true.  I’m gonna call you tomorrow, Spence. Drive home safe.” Ashley said as she slightly pulled out of their embrace. Before she pulled away too far she leaned in and planted a sweet, lingering kiss on Spencer’s cheek.  “Thanks again, Spence.”

“No problem.”  With that, Spencer got in her car and proceeded to drive home, holding her cheek where Ashley had just kissed her the whole time.
