Without another word, Ashley practically sprinted over to where Carmen still stood against the wall, weaving in and out of students as she went. “Carmen! What exactly did Lily say to you about not being here?!” The brunette screamed out over the band as they played the Time Warp.
Carmen looked confused for a moment. “Nothing, she hasn’t returned any of my texts.” All color drained from Ashley’s face as her heart began to increase to painful thumps in her chest. She grabbed Carmen’s arm and dragged the Latina all throughout the gym—despite Carmen’s protests—until she found the boy. His back was to her but by his height she could tell it was him despite his blonde wig and red track suit.
“Garrett, have you talked to Spencer?!” She screamed out over the music. The boy turned around and frowned when he saw her.
“No. She never picked up when I called.”
“Shit.” Ashley breathed out, absolutely petrified by the news. The night before when Carmen and Ashley were constructing their investigation, the brunette stopped by Garrett’s house to question the boy, but mostly to plead with him to take Spencer to the Halloween dance; Ashley hated the thought but wanted to make sure the blonde was safe. Going with her ex seemed like a good idea to keep her off the Killer’s radar.
“Ash, what the fuck is going on?” Carmen asked, completely puzzled and slightly scared.
Ashley ignored the girl as she craned her neck around the gym until she spotted the blonde boy beside the food table. “Glen!” Ashley called out as the lead singer of the band started singing Thriller. “Glen!”
The boy stopped mid conversation with Kyla to look around for whoever was calling out to him and smiled when caught sight of Ashley. But once he saw the brunette’s panic, his smile was gone as he hurried over towards her. “Ash, what’s wrong?” Carmen was panting by the time she reached Ashley and Glen and Kyla, dressed as a cheerleader, looking on in concern.
“Spencer’s not here. No one has actually spoken to her since the sheriff’s station and she was with Lily last night and Lily is nowhere to be found either.” Ashley spilled out hysterically. Glen immediately went chalk-white, obviously terrified. He swallowed with difficulty and then nodded.

PAGES! Not days. Sorry, the epicness of the story has got me all befuddled.
I am literally physically exhausted from reading these last 3 chapters. So much excitement and drama. I knew it was Marie, the Glen and Kyla part threw me for a whirl but I knew Marie was behind it. This story was amazing and kept you guessing from beginning to end. The love and devotion that Spencer and Ashley had for each other was amazing. Marie was the perfect villan. The only part that made me think that it wasn’t her for a minute was when she was showing ginuwine concern for Ashley. This was an intense read from beginning to end and it sucks that so many people were killed because one woman was so sick in the head that she plotted the murders of so many teens. Gays, outcasts, and a single mother, and a kitchen worker who was friends with Ashley. You are an amazing writer. I would pay to read your work any day. I adored this story even in all the craziness that occured. This was a job well done.
PS woah I was watching last week’s episode of House and BAM there’s Gabrielle Christian as a special guest. Haven’t seen her in any tv since South and I had been picturing her all afternoon while reading your story and then there she is! So unexpected!
