The King High Killer – (Chapter: Chapter 9 Nine, Blood Will Flow Like Wine)
Again, Spencer swallowed deeply. “Deal?” Her voice quivered harshly as she scanned the quilt covering the brunette. She so wished she had x-ray vision.
“Like I said, we’ll be busy. Between school, work, and investigating, we’ll have precious little time for fun—like meeting new people to take care of some of our baser needs. We get drunk, we fool around. We almost die, we fool around. It’s happened before and it will probably happen again.” Spencer bit her lip at the prospect and willed the brunette to continue; she liked where this was going.
“Since…and I’m guessing here, you didn’t really mean what you said to me at the diner,” Ashley said with a shrug and a hope that the blonde would contradict her. “And you only said it because you thought we were going to die…” Ashley trailed off, waiting Spencer’s response. When none came, Ashley paused, disheartened before continuing. “Anyway, since no feelings are involved, we’ll just fool around because it’s obvious that we’re both in a little need of some attention. No harm, no foul. Agreed?”
Spencer was so conflicted. Ashley didn’t say that she hadn’t felt anything earlier, but she was pretty much implying that that was the case. But if Ashley was suggesting that they’d continue with their investigation like the blonde wanted to, then they’d really be spending quite a lot of time together and it appeared as though “fooling around,” might happen again. It wasn’t ideal, but at least it was something. And since the sheriff’s station was ruling what happened earlier at the diner a robbery, since they weren’t investigating the mysterious disappearance of those four King High students, and because it seemed that they were no closer to identifying the Killer—Spencer most certainly wanted to continue the investigation. If that meant getting to fool around with Ashley in the process?
“Hell yeah.” Spencer answered with a smile. Ashley smiled back, just as seductively and went to lean forward to kiss the blonde when a loud ringing sounded from the foot of the bed.
With a groan, Carmen turned on her side to answer her cell. “What?” She barked into the phone before she abruptly sat up. “Lily, hey!” Carmen said, already on her feet and looking around the room for the shoes she somehow managed to kick off. “Yeah, I can be there in five. Yeah, yeah. I’m on my way.” With that, Carmen shut her phone, stuffed it into her pocket, and went to exit the room.

ok so you had me practically crying one minute with their declarations of love for each other, and then pissed off the next when spence didn’t jump in to tell ash that she meant what she said! arrgghhhh! anyway I digress. this whole chap was freaking awesome, ash climbing through vents, their fight that turned totally hot, even their little agreement about fooling around (although damn I wish they’d just tell each other they love each other and make the other realize they mean it!!), everything! so is carmen dead? guess we’ll find out soon enough. excellent update stix, very much worth the wait! pms please!!
Ok, I liked: 1. Spencer using “for sure” on Ashley, that was very telling. 2. Ninja Ashley ;) no further explanation needed for that. 3. The reference to “Murder, She Wrote.” 4. Declarations of love. 5. Making out while on the brink of certain death … hot. 6. the “fooling around” clause. I DID NOT like: 1. rat poop … eww 2. taking back the declarations of love 3. constant interruptions to the girls making out 4. Carmen. Oh and p.s LOVED the birthday greeting. Thanks sweetie.
De-lurking to say I love this story. PMS!!
This is a good story and I hope you can continue on with it. I like how they are mad one minute and then all heated up the next. Its hot to do that sometimes.
fuck. okay soooo one sec i’m like shittng bricks scared that they are about to die. then the next i’m pissed cuz theyre back to oh i hate you. and spencer seriously needs to fucking chill with the “i’m gonna be alone and deal with shit on my own” cuz isn’t that how her and ashley stopped being friends in the first place. i’m sorry but i would have left carmen walking by her damnself. and i don’t give a fuck what anyone says, i think the killer is(…) but seriously is carmen and lily dead cuz even though i don’t like carmen and lily is ok, it would suck if they’re dead and spence and ash missed it cuz they can’t keep their hands off each other. so that was an awesome chapter, i got super excited when i saw it there then i started yelling at the computer like they could really hear me, but anywho awesome chapter, can not wait for more cuz this story is hella badass. keep up the good work. pms
What an emotional roller coaster that was! freakin brilliant :) of course I knew they were going to be interrupted- but i was pleasantly surprised by how far they’d gotten. I’m not sure why neither one is capable of owning their confessions of love, but I do know that love makes you do and say stupid shit so I’ll chock it up to that for now :)
OMGGGGGG!!!!! Okay please PMS like NOW! This story is amazing I want more!
