The King High Killer – (Chapter: Chapter 9 Nine, Blood Will Flow Like Wine)

A wave of fear fell on Ashley as she held Spencer to her, aware of the wetness on her shirt from the blonde’s tears and the feel of her own falling down her cheeks. Both girls were shaking, terrified, and at a loss of what to do.

They instinctually knew that the Killer was upstairs, that their time was up. It was already obvious to the brunette that she was always a target. She knew this moment was coming, what she wasn’t prepared for was how she felt.

For some reason, Ashley just assumed that the murders would stop before the Killer was to come after her. She never in her life felt so afraid and what scared her most of all was that there wasn’t enough time.

She thought that she’d be able to finally tell Spencer how she really felt. That they’d be together. Ashley always assumed that her mother and s
he would patch things up; they’d be a family again. She thought high school would be a distant memory, that she would have made something of herself by now. She never figured that it would all be cut down long before she was ready; and with so many regrets.

“Spencer.” Ashley breathed out as her tears fell faster now. The blonde looked up at her ex best friend, not recognizing the brunette’s tone. When she saw Ashley’s expression, however, she knew it mirrored her own.

Spencer couldn’t believe that a person could feel this petrified. She felt as though she would pass out at any moment, her heart felt like a mallet pounding against her ribcage and her breathing was so shallow and quick that she was certain she was having a panic attack.

But when Ashley said her name…everything seemed to disappear.

Spencer jumped a little as Ashley took her hand softly in her own. The brunette gave Arthur Carlin one quick glance before she led the blonde out of the office, closing the door softly before turning to her ex best friend.

Again, Spencer flinched a little as Ashley softly cupped the blonde’s face. She was too scared to wrap her head around anything, but as she gazed into Ashley’s determined eyes, she knew what was about to happen but had to ask anyway.

    1. ok so you had me practically crying one minute with their declarations of love for each other, and then pissed off the next when spence didn’t jump in to tell ash that she meant what she said! arrgghhhh! anyway I digress. this whole chap was freaking awesome, ash climbing through vents, their fight that turned totally hot, even their little agreement about fooling around (although damn I wish they’d just tell each other they love each other and make the other realize they mean it!!), everything! so is carmen dead? guess we’ll find out soon enough. excellent update stix, very much worth the wait! pms please!!

    2. Ok, I liked: 1. Spencer using “for sure” on Ashley, that was very telling. 2. Ninja Ashley ;) no further explanation needed for that. 3. The reference to “Murder, She Wrote.” 4. Declarations of love. 5. Making out while on the brink of certain death … hot. 6. the “fooling around” clause. I DID NOT like: 1. rat poop … eww 2. taking back the declarations of love 3. constant interruptions to the girls making out 4. Carmen. Oh and p.s LOVED the birthday greeting. Thanks sweetie.

    3. This is a good story and I hope you can continue on with it. I like how they are mad one minute and then all heated up the next. Its hot to do that sometimes.

    4. fuck. okay soooo one sec i’m like shittng bricks scared that they are about to die. then the next i’m pissed cuz theyre back to oh i hate you. and spencer seriously needs to fucking chill with the “i’m gonna be alone and deal with shit on my own” cuz isn’t that how her and ashley stopped being friends in the first place. i’m sorry but i would have left carmen walking by her damnself. and i don’t give a fuck what anyone says, i think the killer is(…) but seriously is carmen and lily dead cuz even though i don’t like carmen and lily is ok, it would suck if they’re dead and spence and ash missed it cuz they can’t keep their hands off each other. so that was an awesome chapter, i got super excited when i saw it there then i started yelling at the computer like they could really hear me, but anywho awesome chapter, can not wait for more cuz this story is hella badass. keep up the good work. pms

    5. What an emotional roller coaster that was! freakin brilliant :) of course I knew they were going to be interrupted- but i was pleasantly surprised by how far they’d gotten. I’m not sure why neither one is capable of owning their confessions of love, but I do know that love makes you do and say stupid shit so I’ll chock it up to that for now :)
