The One Who Changed My World – (Chapter: 2)
“No one special enough to catch your heart?” she says almost flirtatiously and I’m a little thrown off.
“Yeah,” I respond raising one eyebrow in my attempt to subtly flirt. “Something like that.” I’m not very good at subtle.
Throughout the rest of lunch we keep to light conversation, just getting to know each other. Usually when I like girls, I tend to drown out what they’re actually saying, trying to plan my next move. But with her, I actually listened as she told me about her life. Maybe because it actually interested me. I wanted to know about this girl’s life.
“I guess we’d better get going,” she says after telling me about her dog Chewie from back home and how much she misses him. I looked around and the cafeteria was about empty and they were about to shut the doors. Apparently lunch was over.
“Wow,” I said honestly. “I guess I lost track of time.”
“Me too,” she answered.
As we’re walking across the quad back to our dorms, I see a small framed brunette walking towards us and instantly recognize her as a girl I frequently hook up with at parties on the weekends. Unfortunately, she notices me too.
“Hey you,” she says coming in real close to me and touching my arm seductively.
“Hey Melissa,” I reply “How are you?” I ask nervously and unfriendly, trying to show Spencer that this means nothing.
“I’m okay,” she responds. “Though I would have been better if you had stayed at my place again this weekend.” Shit. Okay there’s no way around that one. I’m going to have to tell her. I look at her out of the corner of my eyes and she looks surprised, but she’s clearly trying to stay out of the conversation and has angled her body away from us.
“Yeah,” I reply to Melissa. “Sorry about that. I was pretty busy this weekend.”
“Whatever you say, as long as I get to see your sexy ass at the football party this weekend?” she says.
“I’ll try to make it,” I respond coyly. And with that she walks away from us making sure to shake her ass so it’s hard for me not to look. But I don’t; I only look at Spencer.

Interesting….why was Spencer getting drunk by herself? Ashley’s enjoyed being the knight in shining armour!
Ashley seems nice and sincere. Spencer is interesting. I’m curious about her story and if she’s trying to drink away something she’s not ready to face.
