“Exactly!” Angela yelps. “I know he’s you’re best friend Ash, but that’s weird.

            “No, Ang, you don’t get it,” I try to explain. “I’m not going to kill him for going through your purse; I’m going to kill him for being way too good of a friend to me.”

            Both Spencer and Angela look at me totally confused now so I explain more. “Spencer, do you remember our amazing Valentine’s Day?”

            “Of course,” she says as she kisses me on my cheek smiling. “It was perfect.”

            “I assume you haven’t told Angela about it yet?” I ask,

            “No, we had a lot to cover yesterday considering our whole relationship was hidden from her,” she answers.

            “Well do you remember how I got you to show up at the beach even though you were mad at me?”

            “Yeah, you had – oh! I get it now! Aiden used Angela’s phone to text me so that I would come to the beach!” she yelled as realization hit her.

            “What?” Angela asks, still very confused.

            “Well,” I start. “Aiden really did want to take you out for Valentine’s Day and Spencer was pretty mad at me so I needed his help to plan something for her. I asked him to text her from your phone while you weren’t looking so she could meet me for a romantic evening on the beach.”

            “It never showed up in my phone though,” she protested.

            “Well I didn’t want you to find out about us,” I explained. “He made sure to delete it. Aiden wasn’t being a creep or stealing from you. He was protecting Spencer and I.”

            “Wow,” she sighed. “I feel pretty awful now. I treated him pretty bad about it.”

            “I feel pretty bad too,” I sad honestly. “He’s such a good friend he never mentioned it to me. He knew I couldn’t fix it anyway, without hurting Spencer. And I still haven’t told him you know about us ‘cause he was really upset yesterday so I didn’t want t ramble on about my perfect love life.” With that I got a sweet kiss on my head from Spencer.

            We all sat there for a minute just thinking before I spoke up. “Well, then let’s give you two another shot tonight! We’ll all go out together.”
