    Does Ashley tell Spencer about the bet?

    CHAPTER THIRTY EIGHT

     

    ASHLEY’S POV:

    I didn’t get much sleep last night. I kept thinking about how I was going to tell Spencer about the bet. I couldn’t stop the thoughts running through my head. I wanted her to forgive me for be so stupid in the first place and going on with the bet. But the reality is I know it’s really going to hurt her.

    When she fell asleep last night I stayed up and watched her for hours. I finally fell asleep around 9 in the morning and then woke up an hour later. I haven’t been to sleep since. It’s about 12:30 in the afternoon and Spencer still asleep. She is curled up next to me and her head is resting on my shoulder with her arm draped over my stomach.

    She begins to move a little bit and I take in a breath. My nerves start to get me because pretty soon I’m going to have to tell Spencer the truth, and I’m probably going to lose the best thing that’s ever happened to me. She finally wakes up, looks up at me, and smiles.

    Spencer: Hey, good morning.

    Ashley: Hey. Did you sleep okay?

    Spencer: The best. You okay, you look exhausted?

    Ashley: Yeah I uhh, I had trouble getting to sleep last night, that’s all.

    Spencer: How come?

    Ashley: I umm- I’m starving why don’t we go get something to eat.

    Spencer: Okay?

    Ashley and Spencer get out of bed and go downstairs for breakfast. When they finish eating they go back up to Ashley’s room and start getting dressed.

    Ashley: Hey Spence, I umm…there’s something I need to talk to you about.

    Spencer looks at Ashley and notices her nervous demeanor. Spencer becomes concerned. She moves closer to Ashley and puts her hand to Ashley’s cheek.

    Spencer: What’s up baby? Is everything okay?

    Ashley: No not really. You see before-

    Spencer’s phone starts going off. Ashley looks over to Spencer’s phone.

    Spencer: Don’t worry about it, they can leave a message.

    Ashley: Okay, what I was trying to say is-

    Spencer phone goes off again. She gives out a frustrated sigh.

    Spencer: Hang on, I’m going to see who keeps calling me.
