Spencer: Hello?

Clay: Spence, finally, look you need to come down to the hospital Glenn was in a car accident an hour ago.

Spencer: What?! Is he okay?

Clay: We don’t know anything yet. Mom and dad are in the waiting room and we are still waiting to hear from the doctor.

Spencer: Okay I’ll be there as soon as I can.

Ashley: What’s wrong?

Spencer: Glenn was in a car accident.

Ashley: Oh Spence, is he okay?

Spencer: They don’t know anything yet, but I need to get to the hospital.

Ashley: I’ll give you a ride.

Spencer: Thanks.

Ashley: Baby, I’m sure Glenn is going to be fine.

Spencer: What if he’s not? What if it’s bad, really bad?

Ashley: Don’t think like that.

Spencer: We should go.

Ashley takes me to the hospital and the whole way there I was a nervous wreck. When we pulled up to the hospital I almost jumped out of the car before I said goodbye to Ashley. She offered to come in but I told her I would call her later. I ran inside and found my parents. They were still waiting on the doctor. We sat in the waiting room for about 15 more minutes until the doctor came in.

Doctor: Mr. and Mrs. Carlin?

Doctor: I’m Dr. Greene, I took care of your son.

Paula: Is he going to be okay?

Dr. Greene: Your son is going to fine. He was pretty lucky. He has a broken leg and a few cuts and bruises. We are going to keep him overnight for some more tests, but you should be able to take him home tomorrow morning.

Arthur: Thank you so much doctor. Can we see him?

Dr. Greene: Yes, the nurse will show you to his room.

Arthur: Thanks again Dr. Greene.

When we got to Glenn’s room I was so happy to see him. He was awake but he looked really tired. One of his legs had a cast on it and he had some bruises on his face. We stayed with him for a couple of hours before a nurse came in and told us visiting hours were over. We all gave him big hugs and told him we would pick him up tomorrow.

When I got home I called Ashley and told her Glenn was okay. I asked her what it was she wanted to talk to me about earlier but she said she would talk to me tomorrow after school.

The next morning neither of my parents went to work so they could get Glenn. I eventually convinced them to let me skip school today so I could help take care of Glenn. Clay had a major test for one of his honor’s class so my parents made him go to school. When we got to the hospital my parent’s had to fill out some paperwork so I went ahead to Glenn’s room. When I walk in I see a girl sitting next to Glenn’s bedside. I didn’t recognize her at first until she turned around.

Madison: Hey Spencer.
