    “I wish you wouldn’t lie to me, Ash.”

                “I’m going to be in Italy for a month, I’m leaving in two days. I think that we should take a break while I’m gone and reevaluate some things.” Spencer let out a small sob but nodded as I stood up.

                “I thought that you were going to be here for a while?”

                “I’m doing this as a personal favor. I’ve been fighting them off, telling them that I needed time at home. They wore me down. I was going to ask you if you would come with me but now I think that it’s best if we take this time to sort things out.”

                “I can’t stop you from going so I don’t know what you want me to say.”

                “Noting, I didn’t come here expecting anything. I love you,”

                “Please don’t say that right now; it isn’t fair. You break up with me then you tell me that you love me, don’t you see how hard it is for me?”

                “It isn’t me who is having issues with trust.”

                “Obviously it is! You’re breaking up with me because you can’t trust my intentions.”

                “I’m not breaking up with you, we’re taking a break.”

                “Oh fuck that Ashley! You can’t just decide to randomly break up for short intervals; that’s stupid. Being away from each other isn’t going to solve this and I think that you know that. Stop running away from me,”

                “I’m not running away, I just think that you need some space to figure things out.”

                “I have things figured out Ashley! I love you and I want to be with you, forever. What was it that you said? ‘I’m yours and your mine’? When did that change because right now you aren’t mine, you’re all for you.”

                “That isn’t true,”

                “Then why are you doing this? Why are you leaving?”

                “Because!”

                “That isn’t a good answer! I think that you’re scared, you’re scared that you might love me more I love you so you’re coming up with excuses and you’re running with them.” I felt as if she’d slapped me. “You know what Ashley, just go. Go to Italy, take Kimberly with you. I don’t care anymore.”
