    SPENCER’S POV

Sitting in the quad I couldn’t help but be anxious about telling my brothers, I just felt they should know.  Butterflies are swarming in my stomach, and my chest tightens up as I see Glen and Clay approaching, both with serious looks on their faces.

“Do you realize how much trouble you’re in!?” Glen yelled while pulling me to a standing position. There was so much anger in his voice, but his eyes, the same blue as mine, showed anything but anger.  “Why didn’t you call someone?  Mom and Dad are totally flipping out!” he yelled before shocking everyone and pulling me into a hug.  “they thought something happened to you.” He whispered still holding me.

“I’m sorry, I went to Ashley’s, I should’ve called.” I replied.  “But, uh, I have something to tell you guys.” I looked back at Ashley and she nodded letting me know I would be okay, no matter the outcome.  Still though I had to take a couple minutes to gather the courage.  “ Ashley and I are back together.”   There I said it, then no one said anything.

“Wait, back together, as in you were together before, like a couple?”  Clay chimed in finally breaking the silence with his confusion. “Where was I the first time. I mean I don’t care, I just wish you would’ve told me.”  I couldn’t help but smile at him, I went and hugged him when I pulled back he still had the look of confusion on his face.

“Can I talk to you for a minute.”  Glen asked before walking to a more secluded area of the quad, I followed just a tid bit nervous.  When I caught up to him he was pacing back and forth. “Are you sure this is what you want Spence?  I mean the people talking behind your back, all that crap?”

I thought about it, and none of it bothered me, I knew that you’d be with me, finally. So smiling I replied “yes.” Before turning to walk back to you who was sitting at the same table smiling at me as I made my way back.  It’s hard to describe the feeling I got at that moment, my throat closed up, and my breaths got short, I wanted to cry and laugh at the same time; I was so incredibly happy, and I didn’t care about what anyone else thought as I sat next to you slipping my hand in yours pulling it up to my lips.
