We Bend, Then We Break – (Chapter: Seven)

Spencer sighed, disappointed, but was in her bed ten minutes later.  I tried to go to sleep, telling myself I would wake up early in the morning and head over to Jessica, but I couldn’t.  Every time I would drift off to sleep, images of Spencer would pop into my mind, then images of Jessica crying or Spencer crying.  It was too much, so I crept out of my bed, threw my sweats on and left.  I could hear a sleepy Spencer call out my name when I pulled the door shut a little too hard.  But I ran, just incase she wasn’t sleepy enough to go back to sleep and decided to try to look for me instead.  I ran out the dorm building and all the way to the parking lot, cutting through the crisp September air.

Getting in my car, I drove to USC, parking outside of their campus and calling Jessica.  She had to sneak me in, since; technically no one who wasn’t a student was supposed to be on campus at this hour.  When we got back to her dorm, which was actually the first time, I had been there since she spent all her time at mine; she looked me in my eyes.

“You feeling okay, baby?” She asked, instinctively placing her hand on my head, checking for a fever.

“Yeah, yeah, I’m fine.  I just…” My words got lost in my throat as I tried to clear my head, “um, I just couldn’t sleep, that’s all.  And I missed you.”  I threw my arms around Jessica’s shoulders as she laughed, relieved that it wasn’t something more serious.

“Aww, well I miss you too, but do you mind if we just go to sleep?  I still have that test tomorrow.”

“Right, right,” I said as I started to peal my clothes off, “And why do you have a test on a Sunday, again?”

“Make-up.  Remember that Thursday that we spent all day fucking?”

                I grinned and nodded.

“Yeah well, my professor thinks my grandmother passed,”

“Jessica!” I looked at her shocked.

“I know! I know! But he wouldn’t let me take the test unless something major happened.”

I laughed, because I knew Jessica felt really bad about “killing” off Grandma Hampton.  She was a really sweet old lady.

    1. What a twist! I’ve been waiting patiently for an update so thank you for finally giving me one. I really feel bad for all three girls, more Ashley and Spencer right now but I don’t think it will take Jessica a lot of time to figure it out or for Ashley to tell her the deal.

    2. glad you’re back. thanks for the great update. I feel bad for three of them also. It’s a very hard dicision. Well, I’m with SoNFANFOREVER, love that moment when Ash said that she f**king loved Spence :) post asap please.
