    The night is too dark, too spacious, too quiet, and you’re not there to hold me.

    After taking out hoodies, track pants, and gardening gloves, Dano turned towards Aiden and looked him in the eye. “Help me load him into the back of his car and I’ll take him somewhere. You get Spencer and Ashley to the hospital.” She noticed he was about to protest but she quickly put a stop to it by holding up her hand. “Don’t.”

    He made no hint of acknowledgment and shut the trunk. They walked back over to the now unconscious man and lifted him, Dano by his feet and Aiden by hooking his arms around his chest. Moving as one, they walked over to the backseat of his car and maneuvered him inside before shutting the door and removing the gloves.

    “HEY GUYS!” a cry resonated. The three of them turned to find Clay, Sean, and Boz bounding towards them with worry on their faces. “Did you find Spencer?” Sean asked as they reached the two green eyed teenagers.

    Neither of them said a word, their combined silence only increased the anxiety that the uninformed boys felt. “What happened?”

    “We found Spencer,” Dano began slowly, “but she’s not ok.”

    Clay’s uneasy expression turned to one of panic, “What? What happened? Where is she?”

    “She’s in the back of my car. Someone drugged her and…” her muscles tensed in revulsion. She couldn’t continue.

    But she didn’t have too. The three teens came to their own conclusion, one that shocked, angered, and sickened them all. Clay pushed pass them and ran to the back of the Ford, wrenching the door open to find his sister bearing the same marks that Ashley had found on her earlier.

    The brunette had been standing on the other side of the car, arms wrapped tightly around her body as she attempted to collect herself. Whatever was left of herself. For the longest time, before she had met Spencer, she felt like she was rotting away inside. Her soul was dying slowly and she couldn’t stop it. Then there was Spencer, and with her came healing. But now, that rotting feeling had returned and it was killing her. Her tears had stopped, there were none left to cry. Instead she stood there like a lost puppy, not knowing where she was or how things had gone so horribly wrong.
