You and Me – (Chapter: Fight the urge)

They made their way to other side of the parking lot, the music and sounds of cheering students becoming much softer to the point where they could speak in regular tones and still be heard. The shorter girl stopped abruptly, her back facing Dano and took a deep breath.

Green eyes drank in the site before her. ‘Cheerleader’s uniforms are a gift from God’. Toned legs, tanned arms, and a tight stomach. She swallowed hard, trying to fight the lump down that was constricting her throat. Her gaze never strayed from the girl as she turned around and locked eyes with hers once again.

“What are you doing here Daniella?”

Sucking in some air of her own, she cleared her mind and tried to be honest. “I don’t know.”

“What do you mean you don’t know? I haven’t seen you in like, 6 fucking months and all of a sudden you pop out of nowhere and you don’t know why?” the girl snapped back.

She knew she deserved it, but she couldn’t help the frustration that prickled beneath her calm state and did her best to keep it at bay. “I don’t know Madison. I just wanted to see you I guess. Maybe start over.”

An incredulous look donned her beautiful features, “Are you fucking kidding me?”

The unchanging look on Dano’s face didn’t do much to answer her question. Heaving a frustrated sigh, she ran her hands through her hair and tried to gather herself again. “Mi Dios. Where have you been?”

“Fucking up, trying to forget you, but I can’t and I don’t think I ever will.”

“You could’ve given me a sign to let me know that you were still ok. All I had to go on were the street reports I’d get from Gideon and the idiots you hang out with.”

Jealousy flashed through her eyes at the mention of that name and Madison took some self satisfaction in bringing pain to the girl that caused her to fall apart with her ‘mistake’.

    “I’m sorry.”

“For what?!” she snapped again, “For fucking my sister or for not letting me know if you were alive?”

“It was a mistake Madison! I was to trashed to remember my name let alone know the difference between you and Victoria. I tried to apologize but you wouldn’t be in the same room as me or take any of my calls or even fuckin listen to Aiden or Ashley went I sent them to apologize.”
