Before their relationship, Dano was not keen on the girlfriend idea and Madison was straight… and then Ashley introduced them to each other and any preconceptions were tossed out the window. They hit it off from the start and became fast friends, then best friends, and then girlfriends. Anyone (unless you were Ashley) would’ve agreed that they never would’ve seen those two fall for each other like they did. There was Dano, who had a bad rep and a notorious crew lead by her brother to back her up and she was a girl and she was Jewish. Then there was Madison, who was a spoiled rich girl who was the head of the cheerleading squad and she was a girl and she was Roman Catholic. But none of it mattered and neither of them payed enough attention to the evolution of what they had to truly be amazed by it because they were too wrapped up in each other. They touched and kissed constantly, and in doing so, learned 2 important things. Dano loved it when Madison touches her anywhere and Madison loves it when Dano touched her everywhere.

All of a sudden she realized what she was doing and she dropped her hand into her lap, her fingertips tingling with the loss of touch.

Dano’s green eyes stayed on Madison, painfully aware of what the girl was thinking and hoping against all hope that she’ll let her back in. Just before she was going to say something, her phone rang again and both girls rolled their eyes.

She flipped the cell open roughly. “Yeah?”

“Hey it’s Aiden.”

“Watsup?”

“It’s Ashley. She left school to go to Spencer’s for lunch but I think she ended up staying there so you don’t have to worry about Madison.”

“Right. Thanks man, keep your plans open after school tomorrow alright?”

“Ok. I’ll see you then. Love and respect.”

“Love and respect.”

She hung up again and turned to find an intrigued looking Madison giving her the ‘what was that all about’ look. “Aiden giving the all clear. You can go back to school.”

“What happened to the freak?”

Dano’s nostrils flared in minor annoyance. She was well aware of the bad blood between the two girls ever since the big breakup, and how it was only deepened further when Madison went straight for Aiden once his and Ashley’s relationship ended. In angry tirades over the phone, the brunette would explain to her the drive-by insults and cat fights they would almost have daily. It was distressing. At one point, the two girls were best friends, as close as siblings, and now they were more than happy to rip off each other’s faces off. What was worse was that Dano had to deal with whatever names they made up for each other and try to play a neutral stance between her best friend and her past girlfriend. But soon after, she had to tell Ashley that if she called Madison a whore one more time, she’d do something stupid and that shut the girl up fairly quickly.
