“I know you’re there for her too…you’re like the brother she never had.”  I said with a smile.

“Thanks…so, speaking from Ashley’s side, if you think about she’s like Kyla.  She doesn’t want to get involved until she knows she won’t get hurt.  I mean, Kyla had you hook up with me until she knew I could not stop thinking about her, no offence.  Ash is the same way.  She really, really likes you Spencer.  And only you have the power to break her heart.  You only tried to talk to her the days when she broke up with Madison…then you didn’t call anymore, if you are ‘mad’ at her still….she can’t take it.  She doesn’t want to open up to you just to get thrown out of your house.  With Madison, it was easy…no risk involved because she only really cared about how you felt, not Madison.  You.”  Wow…he’s really deep.

“Oh…” is all I can think of…

“I know you’re hurting too, and you don’t have to go over and talk to her right away, but think about texting her at least to see how she’s doing.  Please, she needs you just like you need her.  I know you think she has to come to you first because she actually remembers that night, but maybe not remembering the Madison thing was a gift to you…and Ashley…that way you can’t recall her getting bitch slapped.”  Aiden said lightening the mood.  All the dishes were clean, and I was getting tired..

“Okay…. I’ll think about it.  But I make no promises…she should still be the one to come to me.  I do get all of her relationship strife though…. I guess I’ll just see how I feel tomorrow after I go for a run.”  I say as we head back upstairs. 

“Thanks, Spence, she’ll come around too.  Night.”  He said with a smile as he opened the guest room door where we put Kyla up earlier.

“Night Aid…and thanks for everything I really appreciate it.”  I say and walk down the hall to my room.

Once I change and wash my face and brush my teeth and all that good stuff I climb into my nice warm comfy bed.  Just as I plug my cell phone in though, I see I got a text while I was getting ready to sleep…For some reason I just thought it would be Ashley because of all the stuff Aiden said to me…but it was only Aiden.

Hey…get a good night sleep.  Sorry if u thought it was Ash… I’ll wake u up when I leave in the morn at like 9 so u can run : )

With that I roll over and put my cell phone on my night stand… I hear it buzz about 5 seconds later, but I’m too tired to answer it so I just fall to sleep….it was going to be Aiden saying ‘night girl’ because it was this little inside joke we always said to one another if we were talking at night anyway.
