It was Friday morning, around five past ten and Spencer was stood on her doorstep eagerly awaiting Ashley’s arrival. Just as Spencer was beginning to worry and had contemplated calling Ash to see if everything was alright the Porsche pulled up at the bottom of the path.

Spencer practically skipped to the car in a surprisingly good mood for the fact she had only slept around 5 hours and jumped into the car.

“Hey” she said pulling her seatbelt on before finally looking at Ashley

“Whoa! What happened to you?” she asked concerned, shocked at the paleness of Ashley’s skin. Her eyes were sunken and had a red tinge to them. Even though Ashley always looked cute, today she could only be described as looking rough.

“Im sorry im late, when I eventually stopped being sick and got into the car I started throwing up again. I tell you what Spence, morning sickness really sucks!!” Ashley pouted half serious.

“Poor you are you feeling any better” Spencer asked her voice full of concern.

“Yeah I think so….im still scared shitless though, I mean what if there is only 3 fingers or 2 heads or even worse, what if there is just 2 of them!” Ashley replied feeling herself starting to worry again.

Spencer turned in her seat to face the women she loved so much. “You know you’re so cute when you worry like this…” she said as she did her Spencer head tilt.

“Cute…. Right iv been throwing up for the past 3 hours and iv been awake all night worrying…. Cute is not the word I would use right now!” Ashley pouted.

“Oh trust me, cute is defiantly the word I would use, look lets just go to this appointment, count the fingers, count the toes, heads and bodies and when you realise your not carrying a child with 12 fingers, 12 toes, 2 heads and a extra body hanging off you can relax a bit, I was thinking maybe we could do something later and I need to talk to you” Spencer said in her most calming voice.

Ashley turned over her engine and as she pulled away from the Carlin family home she smiled to herself “I don’t know where I would be without you Spence”
