    Author Notes:

    “It’s my Angel cradling a Miracle.”

     

    “Are you kidding me?!”  Ashley began to lose patience.  She knew how badly Kyla wanted to see Kasey.

     

    “Let them through.”  A soft voice startled everyone.  Paula emerged from one of the hallways closely followed by a very proud looking Spencer.  “They are aware that a quick visit is all I can allow them but they are however permitted to see her until she is ready to deliver.  Please, let them through.”

     

    Betty recognized the woman immediately and smiled brightly.  “Yes Missus Carlin.”

    Kasey bolted up the stairs to the Maternity Ward.  Ashley was slightly ahead standing directly in front of a room.  Kasey completely missed it in her dash across the hall and was sent flying across the slick hospital floor.  With a sickening thud the brunette found herself sprawled out across the ground.  A nervous Kasey was never a pretty sight.

     

    The group of teens chuckled as they gathered outside of Kyla’s door, afraid to disrupt the young girl.  Kasey quickly gathered herself and stood next to Ashley who nudged her forward.

     

    “What?”  Kasey whispered.

     

    “Open it, go in first.”  Ashley replied.

     

    “Seriously?  What if her legs are all up and things are like…wide open for the whole world to see.”  Kasey wavered at the thought.

     

    Spencer rolled her eyes taking the initiative and opened the door ever so slightly.  Kyla smiled weakly and waved her in.

     

    “Hey babe.”  Kasey greeted her with a gentle peck on the cheek.  Kyla held onto her hand limply, grinning tiredly at the group.

     

    “How are you feeling?”  Aiden asked, afraid to get close he hid behind Ashley.

     

    “I’m a little tired and sore…”  She trailed off as another contraction hit.  Squeezing Kasey’s hand excruciatingly tight, she screamed out in pain.

     

    Kasey bit her inner cheek, trying to keep cool as her hand was being crushed by Kyla’s vice grips.

     

    It took a few minutes for Kyla to regain her composure and speak again.  “They said it’ll be another few hours or so.  Maybe a little longer even.”

     

    “Spence?”  Kasey whispered, ushering the blonde away from the group.  “What’s wrong?”  Spencer asked concerned.  “Is it supposed to hurt that much?”  The brunette asked.

    1. kyla had the baby, i hated nurse betty not letting kasey up to see her girlfriend if kasey was a guy and her boyfriend i bet he’d be in that room, ugh so glad paula helped out and got them all in there, spencer is smart covering her hand with her sweater and ash and kasey passing out yeah i can picture it…good job

    7. You have composed such a beautiful story that is such a joyful piece of fiction that I spent most of my time laughing and sometimes crying at every silly antic and poignant moment. You’ve created such vivid three dimensional characters that have quite literally touched me with their charming wit and expressive love for one another. Superbly written and uproariously entertaining. I would love to see a Part 3 to this awesome story, if at all possible? Thank you for all your hard work and faithfulness to complete this fabulous story.
