You Only Live Once – Why Not Enjoy It – (Chapter: 30 – Finale)

The birth itself didn’t last long.  Spencer proudly stood by Kyla’s side helping her friend through the pain.  Urging the young girl to push with all of her might it wasn’t long before the penetrating sound of a baby’s crying was heard in the room.

Aiden and even Paula sat anxiously in the waiting room pending word of Kyla’s conditions yet again.  What seemed like an eternity was actually an hour later when Spencer appeared in the doorway smiling from ear to ear.  “They’re both fine.  C’mon.”

Spencer, Aiden, and Mrs. Carlin stepped into the room where Kyla held onto a small child whose bright eyes scanned her face.  “Oh my God Ky.”  Aiden approached the bed in complete awe.

“Congratulations Kyla.”  Paula patted the young girl’s arm reassuringly, smiling fondly at the new mother.

“Where are Kasey and Ashley?”  Aiden finally asked, perplexed by their disappearance after their fainting incidents.

Kyla motioned toward the curtain that had been drawn around the other bed next to her.  Aiden reached out for it and quietly opened it to reveal the two women.

Ashley was sprawled out next to Kasey whose hand was bandaged up.  Both girls were out like a light; cold towels draped across their foreheads.  Aiden waltzed over and pinched Ashley’s cheek succeeding in rousing the girl from her slumbering state.  “Ugh, what happened?”  Her eyes were glossy as the cold towel slipped off of her forehead.

“You fainted before I had the baby.”  Kyla spoke up as Ashley ran a hand through her hair trying to piece together what had happened.

Before she knew it, the brunette hopped up and rushed toward her sister.  “Wow Ky, I’m sooo sorry-“ She ceased all movements when her eyes trailed across the young child.  “Oh my God is this…”  Tears clouded her eyes as a strained voice from behind caught everyone’s attention.

“It’s my Angel cradling a Miracle.”  Kasey smiled broadly having been woken up by Ashley’s sudden movements.

Kyla blushed for the first time today as the baby yelled regaining the attention it had lost just moments ago.  The young mother handed the baby to Ashley who cradled her niece delicately in her arms.  “Jamie, meet your Aunt Ashley.”

    3. You have composed such a beautiful story that is such a joyful piece of fiction that I spent most of my time laughing and sometimes crying at every silly antic and poignant moment. You’ve created such vivid three dimensional characters that have quite literally touched me with their charming wit and expressive love for one another. Superbly written and uproariously entertaining. I would love to see a Part 3 to this awesome story, if at all possible? Thank you for all your hard work and faithfulness to complete this fabulous story.
