Bette starts Monday as usual: spin class before work.

Mandy: Good morning Bette.

Bette: Good morning Mandy. Are you ready to go full steam ahead today?

Mandy: Absolutely, I know I can kick back tomorrow. The boss will be out of the office.

They share a laugh. Bette gets started reading her email and catching up on her voicemails as she sips her coffee and eats a corn muffin she swiped from home.

Mandy: Both Jim Franks and Katherine Peterson will call in today.

Bette: What are we having for lunch on Wednesday?

Mandy: I’m going to order box lunches. Those work well to keep people in their seats so you can focus on the work while you eat.

Bette: Task master Mandy, nice plan. Oh before I forget I have a card for each of your honor roll boys. I’ve included some movie passes for them.

Mandy: Oh they’ll love those and get good use of them this summer, thanks.

Bette: It is my pleasure. Just let them know I’m proud of them and I’m keeping an eye on them.

Mandy: Will do.

They have a dry run of the presentations for the Disney meeting scheduled for 10am.

Bette: I will do the welcome and introduce the Whitney’s mission, history and focus on 20^th century American art. Tori will talk about our marketing initiative to children and families. Amanda will talk about our Whitney after dark events as special events. At that point we should be ready for the tour, Hector and I will lead that tour and we’ll get back together as a big group for lunch. Mandy will send out an email, so be near your desk around noon to make sure you join us on time. Katherine Peterson and Jim Franks from the board will be with us for lunch. It is important that Disney knows we have the support of the board going forward. Jim has a long history with the Whitney and Katherine is a relatively new board member and a nice example of the fresh perspectives the Whitney is bringing onto the board. At the end of this meeting Charles, Arthur and Mark will take me on the exact tour you have planned for Wednesday. If there are items to be addresses, such as repairs or cleanliness issues you’ll resolve them today and we’ll retake that tour at 4:30pm today. I’ve forwarded Chad’s email response and you see how important your jobs are to Disney.
