Chapter 123 Next morning, Bette gets up early to get ready before Tina has to get up. That way they won’t stress. She takes a shower and then gets dressed and after that she walks into the kitchen and put on the coffee. When that is cooking, she’s making breakfast, just some fired eggs and bacon. She walks back into the bedroom to wake Tina. She kneels beside the bed. “Baby? Wake up.” Bette softly says and pulls away some stray hairs from her face. Tina stirs and slowly opens her eyes. “Good morning sleeping beauty.” Bette says. “Morning.” Tina replies. “I have made breakfast.” Bette says and smiles. “You did? Yeah, I can smell it.” Tina reply and smile. “It’s 6:30, why don’t you come and eat breakfast with me and then you can take shower?” Bette suggests. “Okay, but I’m not that hungry.” Tina replies. “I know baby, but you should eat something. Come on, get up.” Bette says stands up and grabs Tina’s robe and holds it open. Tina gets up, put it on and follows Bette into the kitchen. “Sit down.” Bette says and walks over to the stove and grabs the plate with the egg and bacon. She places it on the table. “Babe, I’m not that hungry.” Tina says and looks at Bette with pleading eyes. “Tina, you have to eat, you’ll need the energy, please baby. You don’t have to eat it all, just a few bites.” Bette says. Tina looks down on her plate. She takes the fork and sticks it into a piece of bacon. She plays a little with it before she eats it. She manages to eat 3 slices of bacon before she stops. “I can’t anymore.” Tina says ad looks up at Bette. “It’s okay baby, it’s better than nothing. You should hit the shower and get dressed. We have to be at the hospital in an hour.” Bette says. “Okay.” Tina replies and stands up. Bette stands up too and takes Tina’s hand and stops her. “Baby, come here.” She says and pulls Tina into a hug. “I’m sorry that I push you to eat, but I’m worried about you.” Bette says as she takes Tina’s face in her hands. “I want you to be strong and” Bette says before Tina stops her with a soft kiss. Lauren…jeez how much more are you going to throw at them? You’re killing me…and apparently many others. LOL. It’s amazing how children find ways of opening our hearts in time of crisis and sorrow. I guess I should hold my breath for the surgery’s outcome…who knows what may happen. LOL. Thanks for the update Lauren.
