“Is there more you’re hiding from me?” Tina asks seriously. “Am I gonna get more surprises?” She adds.
“No, there’s nothing more now. If it is, it will be a surprise to me too.” Bette replies.
“Were you planning on telling me?” Tina asks still seriously.
“Yes, after I had found her.” Bette replies looking into Tina’s eyes.
“You’re looking for her?” Tina asks a little surprised.
“I have been yes. I’ve looked for about 7 years, I haven’t found her yet. For the past two years I haven’t been looking.” Bette says with a hint of sadness in her voice.
“Why?” Tina asks.
“I got what I wanted. Love and family. And I thought that I had already wronged her on time, did I have the right to do it again? Interrupt her life I have no right to do that.” Bette says and looks down in her lap.
“Bette, she’s your daughter, don’t you want to know her?” Tina asks.
“Off course I do, but I gave up that right over 17 years ago when I gave her up for adoption.” Bette replies.
“Bette, you were young, still in school, and the father left you without notice. That is a lot for a teenager to deal with.” Tina says in a comforting voice.
“Tina Where do we stand? I have to know.” Bette asks after a few seconds.
“Bette, you lied to me… again. I’m angry with you, but I’m not going to leave to, if that’s what you are afraid of. I love you.” Tina replies.
Bette give her a little smile. “If you want, I’ll help you find her.” Tina says and looks into Bette’s eyes. Bette is surprised.
“You would do that?” Bette asks.
“Yes, I would. She’s a part of you Bette. You made a decision back then. At that time it was for the best, right?” Tina asks.
“Yes. I wasn’t capable to take care of a child then.” Bette replies.
“I think you need to find her. No wonder you have emotional problems.” Tina says and give Bette a little grin. Tina stands up and walk over to Bette and takes a seat next to her. “If you lie to me or keep information from me again, I will think about leaving. I can’t be in a relationship like that. I need honesty and open communication.” Tina says and takes Bette’s hand in hers.

I have been reading this story for some time now and have enjoyed it a great deal, even the anxious parts because I feel that you are a true TiBette fan and will always keep them together. You have brought them through some stormy times and have kept them together. This was a great post. Hope they can endure the search and finding the young girl. Sometimes those searches lead to heartache, let’s hope this one will not. Thanks for the post.

that insecure thing happen when you lie..i always say if you lie your realationship is not safe..i hope Bette open her heart to Tina no matter what Tina is not a kid she can handle..great chappy post soon thanks..ohh Bette child will be bad??? hummm drama drama..lol.:o)

I hope Bette doesn’t have any more secrets in store for Tina. There relationship is secure, but constantly holding back and lying can destroy a once secure relationship. Trust between lovers, partners, friends is very fragile and should be respected and protected. Tina is going to help look for Bette’s daughter. I hope they continue to talk about it, because it doesn’t always end up a happy reunion when someone is found. Thanks for the update.
To look for her daughter or not…it is a very hard question, and the answer is different in every situation. This was a good chapter…thought provoking.
