Chapter 156
A week later:
The new social worker has just left. Peter had gotten them a nice woman. So the meeting went well. She had nothing negative to put her fingers on. She told them that she will make one more visit. It’s standard that they make two home visits per case.
“See, I told you that it would be okay.” Tina says and smiles at Bette who holds Noah in her arms.
“Yeah, you did.” Bette replies.
“I called Alice and Shane, they’re babysitting tonight.” Tina says and lifts up Daniel.
“Why?” Bette asks surprised.
“I’m taking you out on a date.” Tina says and winks at her.
“You are?” Bette asks even more surprised but smiling.
“Yes, I am.” Tina replies.
“Where are you taking me?” Bette asks.
“Well, I’m taking you out to a dinner and a movie.” Tina replies.
Bette walks up to Tina and leans in for a kiss.
“I love you. Have I told you that lately?” Bette whispers.
“Yes, you did, but I don’t mind hearing it more.” Tina replies and kisses Bette one more time.
“I’ll be sure to tell you more often then.” Bette says. Tina smiles back.
“Let’s feed the boys.” Tina says and takes seat in the sofa.
30 minutes later they were done, Bette is in the kitchen to make lunch. Tina is taking the boys in for their afternoon nap. She enters the kitchen a few minutes later. She walks up to Bette and slides her arms around Bette’s wais and place her head on Bette’s shoulder and looks down on what she’s making.
“What are you making?” Tina asks.
“Just some sandwiches. You want ham or tuna?” Bette asks.
“I’ll take ham.” Tina replies as she kisses Bette’s cheek and then takes a seat at the table.
“The boys settled down okay?” Bette asks as she finish up the food.
“Yes they did. Thank God they haven’t had colics.” Tina replies with a sigh and a smiles.
“Yeah.” Bette says and put Tina’s sandwich in front of her. She made a tuna sandwich for herself. “T, I’m gonna go by the club as soon as I’m finished eating.” Bette says and looks a little sad.
“Why Bette? To get off at your mother? Please not today.” Tina pleads.

Bette should have called the police when she talked to the cab driver, then they would have been there by the time she got there. Tina should have called them the minute Bette walked out the door.
